Thats a chicken nugget
I'm surprised boneless wings took so long to be invented. Those are the easiest chickens to catch.
I got them a few times, they are not to my liking, definitely not restaurant quality more like frozen food.

When will Applebee's just go out of business? Cafeteria food
They do a good job with their ambiance. They host games for locals, meetups. good happy hour deals etc.. yeah the food sucks but the food sucks at every chain restaurant

Sadly not the one by me, I know it depends on the restaurant, but I have given up on them long ago because of the food quality and the service.
It's unfortunate that there can be such a contrast between locations (based on some accounts here). Unfortunately, mismanagement is the key. I can honestly say that I've had mostly good experiences at the location in my area. No restaurant is perfect, and there have been a few mishaps (mostly service related), but they're quite rare.

BTW, it's unreasonable to compare boneless wings to chicken tenders, as they're much larger, and there's less breading on tenders. What you're describing (mostly breading) sounds nothing like these. Insofar as the sauces are concerned, "flavorless" is yet another inaccurate description!
I'm quoting so you can keep shilling against every negative thing people are saying. Please, keep it coming. It's fantastic. I hope you live in a rural town where Applebees is quintessential fine dining, because otherwise it's sad to hear you talk so highly of the chain. It is owned by Dine Brands which owns IHOP and Fuzzys Tacos https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dine_Brands

The food quality at those chains is high volume, low quality, simple to prepare just like Applebees. Walk into the kitchen of a restaurant owned by Darden or Bloomin brands, and you'll see cooks actually... you know... cooking. Applebees microwaves much of their menu and if you don't believe it talk to one of the cook staff and ask how many things come out of a bag/box vs how many things are prepared fresh to order. You'll be surprised.

52 grams of carbs and 39g of protein would be a clear indicator of how much breading and sugar you're getting.
The numbers that you specified are basically accurate, but they're for 10 pieces (a considerable portion)! You neglected to mention that. 52 grams of carbs spread over 10 pieces wouldn't be indicative of excessive breading. Perhaps the ones that you had weren't representative of how they're supposed to be prepared. I've had them numerous times, and there wasn't a huge amount of breading on them. I wouldn't have objected to a little bit less....but perhaps they'd be kinda dry that way. The ones I've had are usually juicy and tender.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm neither working for Applebee's or being paid in any way, so your "shilling" remark is ridiculous and out of line! Nor did I refer to Applebee's as "fine dining". Nor was I opining on anything else on their menu. Exaggerate much?
I wouldn't consider NYC a rural area. Assume much? I was referring only to the boneless wings, since my experiences with them have been quite good. Truth be told (and it may oddly apply only to the location that I frequent), other items (such as their burgers and seafood) have been quite good as well....and definitely not microwaved! I'm so glad that you enjoy the fake Italian food at Olive Garden (a Darden Restaurant) or perhaps you've attempted to chew a steak (good luck with that!) at Outback Steakhouse (a Bloomin' Restaurant). Two of the worst restaurants in the country! I wouldn't exactly call those "fine dining" either (your standards aren't very impressive)! The bottom line is that these chain operations can all leave something to be desired, but Applebee's isn't that lowly, horrible place that you represent it as!
....and btw, unless you've personally observed how food is prepared there, you can't attest to their obsession with microwave cooking. I'm almost certain that it's not nearly as rampant as you described....and everything, everywhere comes out of a bag or a box. Fresh food items aren't packaged inside of a refrigerator? They're just strewn all around the kitchen? Thanks for the valuable information!

OP don't be so salty if people don't like Applebee's. It's just a personal choice, palates are very different. Have a wonderful Sunday

So overpriced nuggets and they cheap out and charge you for vegetable scraps and dipping sauce that are included anywhere else you would get this?

I don't think anyone thinks Applebee's is fine dining, so all this talk about their food being gross/microwaved/frozen is kinda ridiculous.

That said, cheap beer and cheap snacks are great for watching the game. At 50 cents a nugget, they're cheaper than McDonald's, you get waiter/waitress service, and you can sit at the bar.

I totally get that there are personal preferences when it comes to food. That doesn't require an explanation. It's just that I've noticed how some people here insist upon being contrarians that seem to enjoy both exaggerating and constantly complaining, no matter what. It's also evident that my experiences with these are vastly different from others, so it may be a quality control issue at certain locations (which shouldn't be the case). At least I'm being open-minded about that possibility, whereas others are instantly condemning both the item and the entire restaurant chain. Since there's such a contrast between my experiences and some others (and I happen to be very particular about food), it's confusing at best. I also know that these are very popular and I'm not the only one that likes them. I know several others that do as well.

Let's get real, folks! Firstly, they're not "nuggets". Perhaps you've never seen a "nugget" and/or think that it's so cool to call them that. These are considerably larger than "nuggets". That's a no-brainer (at least for some, anyway). If they were literally "nuggets" they'd be removed from the menu, since no one would ever buy them (especially at their normally inflated price)!
Secondly, the only reason why they're not including celery (not "vegetable scraps") and dips is because they're selling them for 50 cents. I'll agree that they're normally overpriced (at $16.99 for 10) but at less than 1/3 the price, what else would you like included with them? At least be reasonable and rational!

Literally, you went to McDonald's and thought it was Applebee's!🙄
Here's a perfect example of someone that's compelled to exaggerate and complain!....unless of course they actually did go to McDonald's instead!😁
