This jack's range is only about 13" and maxes out at 18". Not low profile if you need that. For comparison HF had a 3 ton low profile jack with range from 3.5 " to almost 20" for $99 last weekend.

Picked the gray one for $99 parking lot sale. I would say the low profile and max height is definitely worth the extra 10 bucks.

Ha! The Daytona line of floor jacks are actually pretty excellent. HF even got sued by Snap-On for design patent infringement (settled out of court). HF did however have some manufacturing issues with their jack stands about 4 or so years ago, issuing a major recall, but the latest Daytona jack stands are great (nice welds, double locking pins...), but I digress.

If you need/want a 3-ton floor jack and can wait, then wait until the next sale on a 3-ton Daytona. Pittsburg will get the job done alright for most people, but you'll get better construction & more features (e.g., rapid pump, low profile, rubber jack pad) with the Daytona's, plus they come pre-filled with hydraulic jack oil (although I had to add a little to mine). This is assuming the $100 Arcan deal at Costco is dead.

According to their site, it's not available at the dozens of stores within a 200 mile radius. So this is VERY YMMV. But it's a great deal if you can get it.

I don't care about low profile but want long reach. Any recommendation besides Harbor Freight? I think they're like $239 right now. I missed when they went on sale.

I have this and it's kind of a pos. One of the cylinder's constantly gets stuck and I have to take it apart and fix it.

Have had mine for 4+ years no issues. Have jacked up one tons and tractors and have drug it through the dirt and mud on many occasions. Still haven't been crushed to death and I'm super disappointed

If spending more money, why not just skip HF all together? Just look for sales on reputable brands for literally a few bucks more.

Yes, the Daytona 3 Ton Long-Reach & Low-Profile jack is versatile enough for cars and trucks/suvs.It goes from 3-1/3 in. to 24-1/4 in. It was $190 earlier this year. You could get it for about $205 right now using the available 15% off coupon. Otherwise, it's normally $240.

The regular Low Profile Daytona (not the Long Reach version) has a max height of 19-7/8 in., which can also work for many trucks & SUV's. You could pick that up right now for $160-ish with the 15% off coupon. I'd suggest measuring how much height you really need. As an example, for my wife's Honda Pilot, I don't need more than 19-7/8 in, but for my slightly lifted 4Runner, I do.
