This makes me think of a game for the OG PlayStation called MTV's music generator. I used to use that as a drum machine and played electric guitar along to it.

I've played around with this a decent bit and it's actually a very solid DAW to goof around with and make some sketches

I downloaded it the other day and I have a couple options I can try for Midi keyboards. I'll report back if it seems to take any of those as inputs Smilie
