If it was purchased in the last 60 days yes. If not, no. That is kind of a random thing. But I will say this is the ultra 2, so you have a better than with a refurbished Ultra 1 watch.

Not entirely correct about the 60 day limit.
Quick google search and if the watch is less than a year old, take it to an Apple Store. After an inspection they might let you add Apple care

This is true. 60 days without the Apple Store. Also the Apple Store bit isn't guaranteed, but I've yet to see someone say it didn't work.

Personally I think this a good deal being slightly over $100 more. And it's from a reputable seller, who offers returns. I think in general becuase there isn't much difference between this and the gen 1, and that people feel in general this is still over priced, this hasn't gotten much attention.

Overall a good deal if you are in the market for a renewed gen 2

Check out how much of taxes you are going to pay and that will be the final price. The taxes can vary depending on your address.

Just to make it clear. This item is also refurbished. The Ultra 2 has slightly higher nits and Siri being available on the watch independently. The double tap feature is available on both watches but you would need to enable it on the Ultra 1.

So frustrating eBay calculates tax and then subtracts the discount. That's $7 they pocket. Bands appear to be original. Often they get replaced with garbage knock offs. Debating in my mind still

Gen 1 is basically the same and can be found for ~$100 less.
Gen 3 is forthcoming in the fall (usually Sept/Oct).
This puts Gen 2 in kind of a weird spot right now. The added features (slightly brighter in direct sun, slightly faster Siri) aren't really worth the added cost, but YMMV.

You have to take into account the taxes as well for your final price. Based on the final price including discount, I would say it is an ok deal.

I saw a review where the guy who was pretty skinny was comparing the 49mm ultra to the 45mm and had low quality tracking on the ultra due to its size/weight. Something also to consider.

Exactly. I ended up getting the Ultra 1 after several friends got both and I had a chance to compare them side by side. I couldn't notice the brightness difference really at all. Siri seemed about the same speed (given we were in an area with good service) and not one single person I know is using double tap. My goal price for the awu 1 was sub $450 and sub $550 for awu 2. I found a awu 1 for $440 and have been happy with it and have zero complaints.
