I have never before seen anyone try to make the strange characterization that Christopher was ever going against his father's wishes by doing what he was appointed to do.

I would basically treat these writings like a band's odds-and-ends album--expect more along the lines of demos and outtakes rather than fully realized works.

Christopher helped his father with his works throughout his whole life. If there was anyone qualified to publish J.R.R.'s works and best guess his intentions, it was Christopher.

It's really confusing to know which one to buy and just want an easy to pick up defacto version.
