HDMI 2.0, means you have to use DP to get that 165 hz, might be a deal killer for some.
Are there actually people out there who prefer HDMI to DisplayPort? Every GPU I've seen for the past decade has had DisplayPort on it, because they don't have to pay licensing fees for it like they do for HDMI. If you're connecting to a TV that's one thing, but I can't think of any reason to ever use HDMI instead of DP for a relatively modern PC and monitor.

Bought this back in November for $800 (when it came with a $100 gift card) and got $144 cash back.

My main gripe is build quality seems inferior to my AW3420DW IPS monitor. Base feels cheaper for sure.

I'd only buy this if you can get cash back (from certain websites) AND amex cash back.

For people with a supported NVIDIA GPU, would the NVIDIA® G-SYNC® Ultimate version of this monitor be better?
no, it's pretty much worse in most other ways

Damn, I just bought this last week at the full $899 price. That said, I absolutely love the monitor and don't regret it.
You should have almost 200 regrets

I mounted mine on an arm immediately, so quality of the base was irrelevant to me.

Watch Linus' video on this, it helped me understand the difference and ultimately decided on the DWF version. https://youtu.be/k-6yc1dA--0?si=VKsfdYfTtS3htLhW

Wanted to love mine but the subpixel layout caused green and magenta fringing that bothered me too much. Returned it.
I was also really worried about the text fringing before I bought mine - and it definitely is unfortunate - but it's just such a good monitor. I've adjusted to the fringing and it's been 100% worth the upgrade for me from my equivalent LCD.

I just got this monitor today albeit for a cheaper price (but open box at best buy).

First of all, it's an incredibly well built and sturdy monitor. The colors look incredible, and it's snappier than hell.

The only gripes I have so far about is that text can look a little blurry - I guess it's a symptom of the QD technology. There are firmware updates but you need a USB A to USB B connector to run them.

Overally I'd highly recommend the monitor, not only is it great for gaming and media but the extra screen real estate helps a lot with work stuff.

Excellent monitor. I have it for almost 10 months now and it's amazing. The contrast, the blacks.

Get the wallpaper engine from steam and keep it running the background to avoid static wallpaper.

I'm tempted, but not having it is giving me pause since I would use it not only for pc, but also my Xbox or PS5. Unless there's a display port to hdmi I could use?
