Note: Per store site, those products are tested and in good condition but do not meet HIFIMAN's standard as "new". Open-box products also come with HIFIMAN's standard 1-year warranty as brand new products and if you are not satisfied with the product for any reason, you can return the item in 30 days.

Unless you've got a stable of headphones and are just looking for something different, pass on these. The sound is "different" and not ideal for someone looking for a single pair.
The he400se and the massdrop version has been $100 or less for ages now. Planars in this price range aren't really anything new.

If your setup and budget allows, get the open back Sundara. It's a night and day difference. Or, for another huge leap in sound quality over the Sundara (and not much more in price), go for the Edition XS. Yes, both of these are way more expensive than this deal, so it seems silly to even recommend them, but the closed back Sundara just isn't a great listening experience.
A refurbished Edition XS is $280 right now from Hifiman. That's a lot of sound for the money.
Lol... those are dynamics. You probably don't even know there's a difference between those and hifiman's planars.
I do know. Seems like apples to orange, but best imaging and soundstage I've ever heard on a pair of closed-backs. Ironically, these dynamic cans by Hifiman, known for their planars, "Sound very similar to the Sundaras" with some caveats. (see review below).

I owned the XS and while it's great for the price, the Anana Stealth is even better for a bit of bump more. That one flies under the radar but it's one of my favorite headphones period, not just Hifiman.

I'm ready to spend much more for good sound now, but I have to stick with closed back. My only listening time is late at night and I can't wake up the babies. Any suggestions? Please?

Sorry, I don't have much experience with closed back headphones. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Kid's need teaching. That's why they're kids. They don't know shit until someone shows them. 😉
