Walmart's deal is the same price but includes a $50 Meta store credit. Just picked one up this weekend.

Target has the Meta Quest 2 on sale for $199.99. It's $189.99 if you are paying with the red card.

Prices just keep dropping. Our Facebook marketplace and OfferUp has these for $100 or so (used of course).

Mine is also on there. Kids never use it. I never use it.

Wonder if this work for Tesla…
Yes, I have what I beleive is the same model PowerA controller but a different color. I purchased it for my kids switch but it also works well in the Tesla when we tried it.

I've been looking for a vr but just kinda saving up for a nice one. Is this good? Is it worth it to wait? I mainly want to play that game you see in video clips where it's open world and you have a lightsaber or whatever. Which one has that?
Are you talking about beat saber ? You play to music while slicing things and the swords look like light sabers

How is the controller? Does it have rumble?
No rumble. The PowerA one is great as a rarely used second or third controller at this price but there are better options out there.

What's your budget? If you can spend $20 the 8BitDo Ultimate C is a much better option.

PC uses the XBox layout for better or worse. You can usually remap buttons and the PowerA will work on PC but it's better to have the Xbox layout.

If you can spend a little more, right now the Ultimate Xbox Controller by 8bitdo is on sale for $38.50 with the clipped coupon on Amazon.

That adds Rumble and Hall Effect sticks which should be drift free.

See the rest of my post. The 8bitdo line of controllers are better options. Otherwise stick to first party.

I plan on getting the 3 and these prioe drops will make it difficult to get any cash back even for my 256gb version
Yep fun fact electronics don't hold their value, especially on items like these that have new better versions are always come out. Electronics are not an inventment Stick Out Tongue

My original Oculus Rift, then replaced by this Meta Quest 2 a year ago, is one of the coolest things I own that I never use.

$430 estimated for the quest 3. So most likely a loss leader for the quest 2 as well. That's always been the story with consoles, you lose money on the hardware and get it back through software sales

No argument there as far as electronics holding their value but the price difference between the 2 and 3 is pretty large and I don't think that the 3 is a couple hundred dollars better than the 2. Basically paying 2-300 more for pancake lenses and color pass through

different lenses can add significant cost, look at regular projectors vs short throw just as a quick example, better processor anda few other benefits. My quest 2's are a very neat item that mostly sits on my shelf though so won't be going for the 3's anytime soon. I find although VR is kinda neat I just prefer to sit at my desk and drink coffee and play games on my PC vs gaming on the Quest 2.

I may be in the minority but gaming isn't what I use the meta quest for. I like the virtual/augmented reality part of the experience and highly doubt that even with the lens and processor the Meta Quest 3 provides $200-$300 worth of a better experience.

obviously it doesn't provide a $300 better value to you. How much something is worth is a very subjective thing I was just pointing out that lenses can add a great deal to manufacturing costs. Distortion is caused with a much smaller lens defect on short throw or pancake lenses so the tolerances have to be much higher so costs are much higher as well.
