Be careful with these fake cables. They are very dangerous. I went out to my car with one plugged in and it was scorching hot. I don't remember why I even went out there or why I thought to feel the cable but I'm glad I did

Agreed that one needs to be selective with-third party cables, but this cable is made by Apple, and has an Apple one year warranty.

Does anywhere other than Woot sell BULK "Genuine" Apple products? It seems odd to me that somehow Woot has these real Apple products in packaging not sold anywhere else..

Woot's undisclosed 3rd party sellers/suppliers always make me wary.

Probably bad wiring or the wire gets stretched too far. Even the legit ones can go bad after so many tugs. Always best practice to pull from the rectangular part but people easily tug from the rope, which then rips the wiring.

Just because it says "Apple" does not mean they're not counterfeit. I have a hard time believing that Woot got their hands on "genuine" Apple cables in "bulk packaging" that they're selling at this price. I've seen many "genuine" AirPods Pro sold in boxes that are counterfeit. This seems a little sus to me.

Amazon used to have tons of fakes mixed in with real stuff. I just avoid them entirely for stuff like this.

I've had a couple "genuine" products that I ordered from Woot that turned out to be counterfeit. To their credit, they were the ones who discovered it and gave me a full refund each time without even asking for it.

I've bought a couple "apple" items from woot this last year. And all of them were fake cheap pieces of garbage šŸ˜  at least woot refunded me for them
