I've been a bit on the fence about this one. It is very good for an IPS gaming monitor and has apparently excellent color accuracy for photo editing with the right settings. But even at this price, it's getting seriously close to OLED panels (starting around $650-700 on sale), which don't suffer from the artifacts of limited # of zones that affect this one.

If you're willing to risk it, Acer ebay sells this refurbished routinely for $370-400 which includes an extended warranty. But it also has a high chance of arriving damaged, not refurb'ed enough. Returns are easy though.

I had the eBay Acer refurbished for a few weeks but sent it back. I really liked it but the USB hub wasn't working so I sent it back. got a refund no problem from Acer within a week.
