Dear XXXXXX,
We are writing to let you know that BlendJet Inc. is voluntarily recalling certain BlendJet 2 portable blenders.
We have determined that the bases in certain older blenders can overheat or catch fire, and the blades can break, posing fire and laceration hazards to consumers. BlendJet 2 units subject to this recall were distributed from approximately October 2020 through August 2023.
BlendJet has voluntarily undertaken this recall effort and we strongly encourage you to participate. We are working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) as a partner in this process. Our records indicate that you may have purchased a blender covered by this recall.
Customers who have a recalled BlendJet 2 should immediately stop using the blender and contact BlendJet for a free replacement base.
You can easily check if you have a recalled BlendJet 2 by entering the serial number of your unit into the "Is my BlendJet 2 Recalled?" tool located at www.blendjet.com/safetyandrecall.
Any BlendJet 2 with a serial number that begins with 5543 or a greater number is not subject to this recall, as it already features the updated base unit.
Go to www.blendjet.com/safetyandrecall and follow the steps below:
1. Click on the "BlendJet 2 Recall – December 28, 2023" bubble.
2. Click on the "Check your serial number here" link.
3. Enter your serial number in the "Serial Number Search" bar and click next.
4. Re-enter the serial number as a secondary verification check.
5. Follow the prompt – if your BlendJet 2 has been recalled, complete the registration form.
At BlendJet, we design our innovative products with quality and care to help our dedicated customers make and consume healthy food on the go. We take the safety of you and your family seriously. This safety recall will help eliminate potential incidents involving older BlendJet 2 blenders.

Yeah and I'm still waiting on my replacement. They make you destroy your current model before processing your replacement. I submitted it 3 months ago and customer service said there was a delay and they should ship out in March. I still don't have it. Never buying their products again.

This is why people just buy a new one, put the old one back in the box then return it.
I bought a two pack of these on sale from Costco. I tried to make one smoothie. It struggled, so I returned them. I do not recommend the BlendJet if you are trying to make a smoothie with frozen fruit and/or ice and are trying to achieve a milkshake like thickness.

Ordered one from Target (made sure it was NOT a model affected by recall) - very first test blend with WATER (not even any protein powder or ice involved) and little plastic pieces from the grooves on the bottom started flaking off. So yeah, wouldn't recommend these to anyone.
Got one from the last deal. Extremely satisfied for making bulletproof coffee. Foams are silky smooth. Drinking directly from the bottle. Save washing the regular blender.
I got one last time and it arrived with a crack on the bottom. Doesn't affect operation, but is annoying to look at. They shipped it in its retail packaging and nothing else.
As for performance, you need to use smaller chunks of frozen fruit or wait for it to melt a little. Otherwise, it will stall. Simple shakes like protein powder and fresh greens work nicely.
Got the mint color with the last deal, arrived brand new although also shipped directly in the blendjet box and nothing else. Luckily arrived intact, is not too powerful but for the price it does the job. I wouldn't have paid $50 for sure.

Purchased 3 from last Woot deal. I was curious for all 3 refurb Blendjets, so I entered the S/N from the sticker and it came back as invalid. Then I went ahead and pealed off the S/N sticker and there was the original S/N on the base. Entered each one in the recalled page and all 3 refurb Blenjets 2 came back as recalled. So, I submitted them and waiting for replacement. I know they will take a few months to receive the replacements.
