General Motors filed for bankruptcy in 2009. How are GM cars doing?
Just because a company goes bankrupt does not mean that it no longer exists. Usually after a bankruptcy the company continues in some form under a new owner.
Dumb comment.Do you expect US government bailout company built car in EU with parts from China?
So much fear mongering and straight up lies and misinformation from people who I assume shorted the stock. There is no safety issue whatsoever…they wouldn't be on the road if there was one. There is no comparable model y at the same price range…not even close. The idea that this will become a paperweight bc of a software issue in the future is laughable…yeah…all the karmas out there are paperweights right?
WTF are you talking about? Read reddit. Some of the cars should not be driven because they break and shutdown. Are you fisker CEO? I came to this topic because $24000 is a steal and I'd just go and buy it cash but it costs $24000 for the same reason why 5 year old range rover costs $10000. Nobody wants to drive that junk/

I remember the CEO taking a private jet to the hearings..the hearings to cry about being bankrupt.
I think they should ship to Cuba.. excellent car mechanics can make these car run for next 50 years with any company support.
The problem with "modern" cars is they have millions of lines of code. The mfrs do things like pair computing modules together so you can't independently replace parts without special programming tools. They simply will refuse to work together and it will in no way be obvious why.
It's not a matter of mechanics, but rather digging through electronics, software, and obfuscation. When you can't "see" what the problem is you will invest waaaay more time and energy than it's worth.
I'd consider a "fire sale" in this situation *only* if the mfr released all of the design information, including source code, maintenance, and system diagnostics (only to actual buyers, under license terms that would at least allow them to use it for the purposes of maintaining their vehicles).

2022, we are in 2024, share some recent fire news with me pls. And stop watching CNN. Don't worry about my spelling
What does CNN have to do with anything? I thought FOX was the anti-EV network. I barely turn it on. I don't care for any corporate news outlets honestly. They're 2 sides of the same coin.

Unfortunate, really. We aren't ready to fully drop gasoline/diesel engines. I'm perfectly fine with that since electric has a long way to go yet.

Taxi would have been better optics, for sure.
