It would, most importantly, cost $235 less than the one on Amazon.

Seems Amazon has issues.
I was able to purchase it from Lowes.
It has pretty meh reviews but for $40 it's worth a shot. Thanks for posting!

Darn, thought this was the larger size version that's comparable to camp chef. Pay attention to dimensions before buying, picture can be deceiving.

How would the 18" compare to the Camp Chef that's like 285 on Amazon?

I was thinking of getting this to charge/store lithium batteries in my basement and venting it to the outside. But the flue pipe seems to be an odd size so needed pipe parts are not readily available.

I really doubt this thing would contain a lithium fire. It seems like you'd be setting up a death trap in your basement as you'd never know until the fire gets uncontained in this thing right below your living space, meanwhile any smell/smoke has been vented outside.

Well right now my batteries are in metal tool boxes. With no vent to the outside.
Where do you store yours?

Is there any reason you couldn't use this indoors so long as you vent the chimney to outside?

I am not a furnace/chimney pro, but I would guess that the reason is that you cannot reliably vent the chimney outside, unless, of course you [hire somebody who knows what they are doing to] drill and cement it into your furnace's chimney.

You cannot smell CO. I have CO sensors around the house, but I wouldn't bet my life on reliability of these battery-operated devices.

Edit: this is the real reason [sciencedirect.com]. TL;DR if you care about your health or the health of your kids, you do not want to put solids-burning stoves in your home, wood-burning included.

Corrolary: do not burn $h*t in your house. (a specific example of solids)
