It would, most importantly, cost $235 less than the one on Amazon.

Well right now my batteries are in metal tool boxes. With no vent to the outside.
Where do you store yours?
try small metal fire-resistant safes.

They are not vented. If a lithium battery fails then gasses will build up and may cause the safe to explode like a bomb.

The only solution is to build a battery bonfire and do a controlled burn outdoors. #Letlithiumgofree

Is there any reason you couldn't use this indoors so long as you vent the chimney to outside?
I don't know if I'd put it in a house but I've used one of these in a workshop/garage with a chimney to outside

On that note, I have a wood stove like this in my ice fishing shack. If you don't mind paying more for higher quality, these are really well made in the USA. When mine arrived it was so nice that I didn't want to get it dirty. lol
Hint: check out the scratch-n-dent section.

If you are worried, charge and store them in the garage or somewhere off-site. My E-Bike batteries and charger are UL Certified and I just charge them in my laundry room. I'm not too paranoid, but my e-bike batteries aren't cheap ones.

My garage temps. can get well below freezing in winter so I don't want to store them there.
Tesla batteries aren't cheap batteries but they, too, can fail and cause catastrophic fires.
Quality batteries are certainly less likely to fail but they're not failproof.

Just thinking hypothetically but you could use outdoor air like a pellet stove does you could ……. extra air inlet pipe needed.. more complicated of course …..I am no expert but did install my own pellet stove…..

I was thinking of getting this to charge/store lithium batteries in my basement and venting it to the outside. But the flue pipe seems to be an odd size so needed pipe parts are not readily available.
LiFePO4 batteries don't need venting ...

The venting would be to get the toxic smoke from a battery fire out of the house.
