I have a calendar alert that repeats on March 1st that has the number of bags I used. If I use more, I'll just update it. It gives me a rough reminder of how many I need.

This is $2 but if I want to avoid the artificial colors and get the garden bark that's $6.76. Ridiculous

We find the bags easier than bulk, though the mulch quality is lower. We order 2 pallets delivered then load them up on my Gorilla cart and drop throughout the planting berms. Then come back with a knife to split the bag open, dump, and then spread. Save the time to shovel into a cart from a big pile.
Bulk double ground by me is $30 a cubic yard and brown color enhanced is $39.

I only need about 15 bags. Same type I bought last year. Color and quality adequate. It's a great way to spruce up the yard. Best reason to purchase; helps me believe winter is over.

Do you all remove old mulch before putting new one?
No, it will break down over time and put nutrients back into the soil.

Sucks . It will last most of the season and then blaah. Keeps you coming back next year for more .
Not sure why so many people complain about color retention. Mother nature is doing its thing with heat and rain. The mulch and dye is going to get weathered, degrade, fade, and break down back into the soil. And the dye they use nowadays is safer as it's leeches into the soil. Red mulch is dyed with iron oxide and black is with black carbon (charcoal). I'm sure they can come up with a hardier colorant, but then people would complain about how hazardous and unsafe it is.

I have a Slickdealer neighbor who always asks me to pick up about 60 bags of mulch every year on this deal. Last night I saw him unloading his own small car with an ungodly amount of mulch, so I can only assume that he got the deal from here. I want to make it clear that I did offer to help, but I think he wanted to break some kind of world record for amount of lawn supplies carried in a single trip with a Toyota Prius.
I just wanted to get here and clear my name before he tried to say I was a bad mulch neighbor/friend or something.

$2 a good price. DON'T go for the Cypress; it's now Cypress "Blend". Which I swear is cypress and … shredded pallet. I got sheathing and romex wire mixed in last time.

Been waiting for this. For me looks like $99 flat rate delivery. To save time, trips and messing up the car I split with a few neighbors to make it worthwhile.
I usually have about 2-3 pallets of bricks/mulch delivered per year. The flat fee delivery is worth it every time!

If not, I can only do 20 bags at a time per trip and forget it with the bricks.

Just put a load of 40 bags across my yard. Wasn't sure my older Ford Ranger would handle the load. A full pallet is 70 bags but with 40 and driving slow, it made it. Lo' Rider!

Do they pricematch? I bought a bunch of mulch bags last week.
no; but if it pisses you off enough you could always buy the same quantity again at the new price and return it the next day with your original receipt.

Got TSC to price match to the scott's brand & used their free trailer for having their store credit card to bring 40 bags home. They were all waterlogged & extremely heavy.
