you pay $6 fee if your payments are made in time. You can pay all at once

Hmmm, is Zip getting desperate for users? I've certainly never used them, why split a payment for no reason? 12% off may finally be enough of a reason for some.

I don't see any desperation here. Based on the zip deal history it looks like they offer discount once per quarter. Pretty sure they split the payment hoping that someone won't pay in time. This is how most credits work

It's a numbers game. Just like Rooms To Go offering 60 months no interest. There's enough people that will be late one time and get hit with all the interest that it makes up for the ones that get through without missing a payment.
