The bag I bought maybe six months ago had a TON of debris in it. However, I noticed the price reduction a week ago and decided to give them another chance and I ordered a 40 lb. bag. There is hardly any debris at all in it. So hopefully they have corrected the problem.

Actually I was just reading the reviews and a lot of people are complaining about derbies other than twigs and stuff quality has gone down a lot. So Pennington wrote back and apologize and said they're switching from automation to I guess manual so they do know there's a problem. So I guess that's why they're trying to get rid of their crappy load of seed so they could switch over and send out the upgraded bags. Just something to watch out for like I said I read the reviews.

My son likes to take the feeder or bag of seeds and dump them in the grass. Squirrels end up getting the best of the bag

Whenever the birds throw these seeds out from our feeders, literally hundreds of seeds sprout… I don't know if it is my local Walmarts seeds that are untreated, but they do in fact sprout.

So I hate to be a kill joy but I read somewhere that bird feeders spread disease.

They also spread joy. I personally prefer shelless seeds, less mess

this is true, they need to be cleaned regularly, like once it goes empty for example, most people dont wash them I suspect.

That's dirty feeders. You gotta clean them.
