If yours is a gmail address (i.e. [email protected]), register for a new Boost account using an alias version of your email address (by adding a plus sign '+' after 'username' followed by any other text, such as [email protected]). Emails sent to such alias addresses will arrive in the main [email protected] account's inbox.

Note: Even though the plus sign '+' is valid per email address RFC standards, many web-sites reject such email addresses (violating the aforementioned RFC standards). Gmail ignores the period '.' character in the username part of e-mail addresses, so you could change it to 'user.name' or 'us.er.na.me' and so forth to sign up under a new email address at Boost (i.e. [email protected]) while still receiving emails sent to those alternate period-based usernames in your main account's inbox.

P.S. Outlook.com / Hotmail, I believe, honors the '+' sign alias syntax but am not sure it ignores the period '.' character in usernames.

99% chance it will be T-Mobile. Almost impossible to get ATT these days, but some have gotten lucky. In my experience, any MVNO using T-Mobile are much more deprioritized than ATT-based networks, but YMMV of course. FWIW, SIM IDs that start with 89012 are T-Mobile and 89014 are ATT.

How much hotspot data?
Very good question, I hope someone or Boost Rep can confirm it.
From the site, it seems that the lowest $12.50 tier has no hotspot, user have to upgrade to the next $20 tier. [boostmobile.com]

I think no hotspot is just mean, Mint Promo still gives better deal.
I really hope Boost can give their users at least 1/3 of the allotted datas as hotspot.

Some users can probably use software workaround, but why play cat and mouse? User already bought the data anyway.

I am using $15/month with 5GB of data with BOOST. Isn't it for everybody? If it is then it's the same thing.
Same thing? The plan in the OP, while it requires a $150 payment up-front for 12 months of service, comes out to $12.50/month. On top of that, it includes unlimited data (throttled after 30GB/month). It thus includes 6x as much unthrottled data as your $15/mo plan (of 5GB of monthly data). If your plan's data allotment is hard capped, that's a major (negative) difference too. The only benefit, it seems, your plan offers is paying $15 each month rather than $150 up-front, but you end up paying $180 for 12 months of your inferior plan. Thus, not "the same thing" at all.Wink

Doesn't the phone unlock automatically after 1y service? We're in the same situation.

According to their policy, it's 1-year active service. So in theory if I get this deal, my phone should be unlocked automatically one year later.

I bought mine last May, but I only use their 3-month/$15 plan one or two times, so I doubt it will be unlocked this May.

Wasn't this better?

$150 1-year unlimited everything, even hotspot is included.

Look I'm not asking you to find a time machine, just something for you to compare.

I have Visible service on my iPhone 15 pro max main esim and was interested in buying this deal and porting my 2nd line to 2nd esim with Boost so I called them and was told that this isn't possible. Was I misinformed? I thought the iPhone 15 pro max could support 2 esim accounts with different cell carriers???
