If yours is a gmail address (i.e. [email protected]), register for a new Boost account using an alias version of your email address (by adding a plus sign '+' after 'username' followed by any other text, such as [email protected]). Emails sent to such alias addresses will arrive in the main [email protected] account's inbox.

Note: Even though the plus sign '+' is valid per email address RFC standards, many web-sites reject such email addresses (violating the aforementioned RFC standards). Gmail ignores the period '.' character in the username part of e-mail addresses, so you could change it to 'user.name' or 'us.er.na.me' and so forth to sign up under a new email address at Boost (i.e. [email protected]) while still receiving emails sent to those alternate period-based usernames in your main account's inbox.

P.S. Outlook.com / Hotmail, I believe, honors the '+' sign alias syntax but am not sure it ignores the period '.' character in usernames.

99% chance it will be T-Mobile. Almost impossible to get ATT these days, but some have gotten lucky. In my experience, any MVNO using T-Mobile are much more deprioritized than ATT-based networks, but YMMV of course. FWIW, SIM IDs that start with 89012 are T-Mobile and 89014 are ATT.

If it's been over 6 months since you activated that phone on Metro, yes.

Called customer support xfrd to 3 people to find out global text/talk on which plan. Crazy customer support sucks.

Boost has terrible customer support. I had them add the $5 extra data one month and now they can't get it removed. Every month for about a year I'm charged an extra $5 (not using close to 35 gb). Chat takes 45 minutes and then they only issue me a $5 credit. As soon as my credit is spent I'm looking for an alternate service.

I think hotspot is not included in this deal. Don't see any mention of hotspot when looking into the details.

This is what I did when I received a T-Mobile SIM card last month on a similar promotion($150 for one year). Went to a local boost mobile store and purchased black SIM(At&T) and used that to activate service(port in), I just used black SIM ICC ID during activation and all went well.
To confirm, I chatted with customer service and was told my service was activated on AT&T.
How much was the sim cost? Thank you

No one has mentioned anything about how boost service is? I got my family mint mobile we're finishing up the year and it's been great. In the past thread I've heard/read bad reviews of boost

The service is identical -- they're both T-Mobile MVNOs.

After 1 year is up, is it possible to switch to $25/month unlimited plan instead of paying yearly of $300? I just don't like to commit to a yearly plan just in case if there's a promo from other carriers.

Can confirm that 12GB hotspot is included with this deal. Just signed up within the last hour, and the name of my plan is as such: "$25/mo 12-Month Unlimited Talk & Text + 12GB Hotspot"

Also, data after 30GBs is throttled to 512kps, not that I'll ever reach that anyways
