If yours is a gmail address (i.e. [email protected]), register for a new Boost account using an alias version of your email address (by adding a plus sign '+' after 'username' followed by any other text, such as [email protected]). Emails sent to such alias addresses will arrive in the main [email protected] account's inbox.

Note: Even though the plus sign '+' is valid per email address RFC standards, many web-sites reject such email addresses (violating the aforementioned RFC standards). Gmail ignores the period '.' character in the username part of e-mail addresses, so you could change it to 'user.name' or 'us.er.na.me' and so forth to sign up under a new email address at Boost (i.e. [email protected]) while still receiving emails sent to those alternate period-based usernames in your main account's inbox.

P.S. Outlook.com / Hotmail, I believe, honors the '+' sign alias syntax but am not sure it ignores the period '.' character in usernames.

99% chance it will be T-Mobile. Almost impossible to get ATT these days, but some have gotten lucky. In my experience, any MVNO using T-Mobile are much more deprioritized than ATT-based networks, but YMMV of course. FWIW, SIM IDs that start with 89012 are T-Mobile and 89014 are ATT.

I will answer the question I asked earlier but did not get a reply. I just found out the hard way that a T-mobile locked phone does NOT work. I tried to port in using eSim, did not work. They were cool about refunding me the $150 but had to scramble to port back out.
It could be worse. You could have a Boost branded phone, but then find out it's network-locked to the Old Boost, which ran on Sprint's towers, and it has to be unlocked by Sprint now, but Sprint no longer exists.

Are we sure that Boost will be around still for another year, with Dish telling the FCC they are having financial struggles wouldn't that mean boost would be sold off or discontinued?

How long can I wait to activate it? My ATT commitment ends in 90 days and I can unlock phone then. If I buy now, can I wait until then to activate?

I contacted them via chat. Here is the conversation:

By clicking 'Buy Now', you agree to pay the amount due today. Your service will not begin until your SIM is activated. If you are getting a new phone number, your SIM will be automatically activated 2-3 days after order. Once activated, you authorize Boost Mobile to charge your card to auto-pay your monthly total fee plus any additional taxes and surcharges. Prices and surcharges subject to change. You will be automatically charged every month until you cancel. Cancel or downgrade at any time. You also agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy Show less.without me providing the data

I have asked if I request to port in my phone number, here is what CSR replied:

Oh! Okay, no problem.I see. I totally understand that. Yes, that might be possible. If you're going to port your number with us, as long as you dont intiate the port the account will remain on pending activation.
Hope that I answered all your inquiries. Anything else I can help with today?s

If anyone is planning on buying more than one card, don't make the same mistake I did and hit the "do you want to add a second line" button which pops up right after your purchase of the first one. Make sure you buy them separately. Both lines are on the same account.
buying separately, do you mean go back to the original promo page and place a new order from there? does the "do you want to add a second line" charge you the full $300?

Thanks for sharing! Still not clear how long I can wait (eg Red Pocket has a 90 day limit before the sim expires).

Last deal was an indefinite amount of time, as long as you select that you're porting a number in so that it doesn't get activated in transit.

Tried it once and got NO signal in my house. It is a good deal for those who can get better signal, not for me.

Can't wrap my head around the steps needed..help
Unlocked iPhone 15 on Mint 12 month plan expiring in 3 weeks, usually the renewal is $180 plus fees, comes to $200
Use typically 4GB data

With Iphone15 having no SIM tray, what would be the sequence of steps to switch incl. keeping the number ? I have a backup iPhone XS
ATT jump would be preferred.

Immediately after placing the order, folks with eSIM-capable iPhones can sign into the customer portal and activate via eSIM.

During the activation flow you'll be given the option to port in your current phone number, and be asked for the relevant details (account number w/your existing provider, transfer PIN, etc) -- you get these details from your existing carrier (e.g. Mint).

Anyone know when this expires? I couldn't find it on the page.

Also is there a deadline we have to activate if we're porting in a number? I don't need to switch services until a few more months but would love to lock in this deal for then.

Yeah but this will be in TMO network, not ATT network?

does business ink 5% back on cell service work when paying for these annual plans?

here's what i'm thinking...if $25 cashback works...plus 5% this would come out to $9.79 per month.

how much are taxes and fees? I know it's different for every state, I'm in PA.

Just trying to figure out if it's better deal than my existing T-Mobile postpaid plan.

Thanks

6% tax in my PA area.... $153.07 was my total. Not sure how the $3.07 in taxes is calculated as 6% would be $9.00.
