For all the jokes about HDMI on here, does anyone even use HDMI anymore?
As far as I know, the best connectivity options for HDTVs, and DVD / Blu-Ray Players are still HDMI. Or am I missing something?

I'm using Apple TV with a Sonos Arc connected to a 65" Hisense (a U7, I think). Both are connected with the HDMI cables that came with them. I have frequent audio sync issues when playing PCM content in particular, usually requiring me to go into the TV's settings and turn off eARC and then turn it back on. It's frustrating.

Would it help to replace the HDMI cables with high-spec cables such as these?
Wouldn't hurt

The reviews on amazon for the same cable complain about lack of specs, but a few people mentioned it worked well with their eARC. I believe it should be 2.1 based on specs, but I'm not an expert.

It's 48Gbps, so it's 2.1. 2.0 can't handle that high of a bandwidth.

No one is using HDMI. Everyone is patiently waiting for wireless device to TV transmitting to be discovered, and has their devices unopened. What's the point of buying $3 hdmi when new technology is around the corner, right?
What's funny is that technically has been around maybe for a couple of decades now. I used WIDI for a projector in the 2010's for the first time. Still HDMI is the most common though.

So genuine question: I've heard cheap hdmi cables that promises high bandwidth 4k/8k capability is almost every single time a scam. Would you guys say this is true for this deal as well then and the Amazon basic brand?
So, I'm on my second one of these with my new gaming computer and have an issue where like 10% of the time the sound doesn't come on and I have to unplug and replug that HDMI to get sound

I'm still troubleshooting, this could easily be a driver issue and not the fault of the HDMI cable at all, but I'm going to be trying another brand to try to rule out the cables as the cause of the problem

Has anyone else had this issue with these Amazon HDMI cables?

There was a Monoprice HDMI cable $4 that was HDMI Ultra Certified Cable. I would get those if they come back instead of this that don't have certification

Just got this cable on Amazon for my M1 macbook-flashed firmware anker adapter- HDMI 2.1 - 48' LG OLED setup. Very good price and reliable if HDMI 2.1 is needed
