Bought 12 of these. These are trash. The light is super dim. I thought maybe I forgot to remove the plastic from the solar panel but there was none. I guess these are just for looks. Even the knockoff Amazon brands are better than this.
Landfill garbage
You can take these apart and part them out. You end up with parts that would cost more to buy separately. Useful for little solar projects. You could power sensors. Power microcontrollers.

Have had good luck with the Hampton Bay Parkwood style. The glass is clear and isn't the defusing style like these and it has a classic style bulb similar to an Edison style with nice led strands that look like a filament bulb style glass and filament look and projection. Bright and worth the 10 bucks. Also on sale with the buy more save more deal going on now!

The specific model has nimh batteries. Those would be more likely to need replacing after some time.
Hampton bay with lifepo4 batteries should last longer. They seem to put them on clearance February or so. May just say li-ion on the box for some that turn out to be lifepo4.
The 9$ 55 lumen hampton bay spot light has a lifepo4 1000mah battery, currently 5$ off. Somewhat adjustable panel kind.

Quote from James_bond003 :
A couple of years ago, after collecting all the evidence and pictures, our HOA banned all kinds of solar lights like pathway, focus, and other such lights in front yards. They advised everyone not to even use it in the backyard. They are not helping the environment, in fact, they are polluting the environment because they hardly run for a month or two, and after that, these lights become trash and garbage, littering the neighborhood and front yards and making the front yards look trashy.
A lot of people protest on why the HOA controlling what people put in the front yard, so they call the meeting and show them the video and pictures of the front yards of hundreds of houses. After that, people understand what kind of junk these are..

More efforts like this are needed to help people realize what they do to environment by using trash Chinese products like this.
"Buy more, save more" is trash filling garbage usually.

Home Depot has a surplus of these from last year. Some are ok. They all have mounds of dust all over the boxes. Assuming these aren't supposed to last for a year. The MSRP on these should all be $9.99 if that

That's fine but they do have some legit uses. I would like to know of a good Buy it for Life option to keep walkways lit up better.

Does anyone have any recommendations for nice bright solar path lights? I need some but I don't want dim lights like these are based on the comments.

Solar light may or may not be good thing to have. Regardless, that's my decision; no way I want HOA telling me what to do.
I almost bought a condo - went small house instead - would buy the house again.

1 watt 50 lumens. I saw hampton bay with 1.5 watt 140 lumens, if brightness/efficiency of small wattage things matters to you.

I actually ordered 25 of them. They are NOT going to light up your path, but are very attractive as accent lighting. A single led in the top, so is not very bright, but a conical mirror in the base and the cut glass panels make it send out many points of light. Very nice look, but if you are looking to light the walkway for safety, look elsewhere.
