ETHOXYQUIN: The European Commission has officially added the synthetic antioxidant ethoxyquin to its banned list.

It can cause eye irritation. It can also cause skin sensitization (allergic reactions), lacrimation, depression, reproductive effects, liver effects, kidney effects and thyroid effects. Dermatitis may also occur. ETHOXYQUIN may undergo a hazardous polymerization at temperatures above 320°F.

Ethoxyquin was reported to both enhance and inhibit genetic changes induced by known carcinogens; on the other hand, it can also lead to cancer in exposed animals.

Ethoxyquin is banned for use in human food except in very small quantities allowed as preservatives in spices.

I didn't consume it so I don't know what it tastes like.

This is TOO cheap. Sure this isn't on the FDA recall for excessive lead?

Amazon brand Chipotle chilli front page makred down $2.15 to $1.65.

Walmart has their "Great Value" spices for $1.18, bought a couple today the Paprika and Onion Powder for some ground beef.
