I can see how a human would think that way. But, as a cat and tuna connoisseur, the tuna/mercury issue is more nuanced.
Yes, expensive tuna for humans, like Yellowfin, Albacore, and Bigeye are high in mercury.
But, cheaper tunas like skipjack and light tuna are much lower and safer. They also taste better. If my manservant gives me tuna steak, I'll certainly eat it, but I prefer chunk light tuna. Humans don't know what's good....
