I've been buying these for my LG fridge. Appears to have all of the same NSF certifications as the OEM one: LINK [amazon.com]

I doubt it's the filter that is causing the fitment issue. LG has a design flaw with the housing which causes the tabs to be misaligned when replacing the filter. We struggled with ours for awhile before figuring that out. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/5mgPSoJrxSw?si=zYUC60fTRJ-MHUh7

Ok I'll try it. But I had the same
Issue before and the tab design looked different from the one that came with it new. Had to go aftermarket. I'll report back though.

I bought one of these from Amazon and around 2 months later I got an email from Amazon letting me know that they found out the item they sent me was fake. I just buy straight from LG always now. It's like $42 when you use the subscription service

Buy a reverse osmosis and put fridge filter in bypass. Gets you cleaner water, more access to water, better water pressure and is much much cheaper. That is if you can run a line from sink to fridge.

right, it happened to me. End up calling costco warranty service team they end up replacing the housing due to the clip holding the filter together.

How do you put the fridge filter in bypass?

EDIT - turns out new LG fridges do not need a filter bypass. They have a built in one. All you have to do is unscrew the current LG filter and the fridge will start bypassing it automatically.

You can just add an in line water filter, don't need to run from sink. Get a whole house reverse osmosis filter.

Whole house ro is not a real thing. There are whole house filters but they are really just sediment, not on the same level as ro.

Please people stop buying LG and Samsung. Or any korean brand altogether. There's a reason why these korean brand offer longer warranty. Their products suck. Like kia and huyndai.
