Check with your insurance if they give you a discount. In the Moen valve thread someone noted that their insurance paid for theirs; I checked with mine (Hanover) an they offer $150 discount if you have auto shutoff and $75 discount if you just have sensors. By that time I'd already had them more than a year, but that $75 more than made up for what I paid for 8 sensors + hub,.

Pair these with this water shut off valve to turn the main water line off when water is detected. I did this and it works great.

Govee connect to the Govee Home app
The water shut off connects to the Smart Life app
To allow them to connect together you will need an account with IFTTT.com. They have an applet there that will allow the sensor to trigger the shut off valve to close upon water detection.

The Govee sensors seem to required the Govee Home app to work, I would prefer to have Home Assistant or the Smart Life app control the shut off valve but I haven't yet figured that out yet.

How many sensors could one gateway support? I was thinking about buying the gateway + 6 sensors plus 5 individual ones
Why would get you H+6+5 when you can get H+4+5+5?? You get 3 more sensors at $6 each.

"Put them underneath all sinks, behind toilets, water tanks, behind fridge, under dishwasher, under jacuzzi. It can also be put on the first shelf of the fridge when upper freezer leaks. Even a small condo can easily use up 8 sensors alone."

Is that easy to install or did you hire a pro?

Would this be posted online typically or are you calling your insurance company?

Whoa. This is well over $100, maybe $200, less than the other name brand I've seen posted. A plumber needs to install this, correct?

Thanks so much

Seems like the OP discount is better than those?

I don't know, but I don't think you'll ever replace the battery. My V1 is still going strong after 1.5 years and V2 has twice the battery life. It's cheap enough to be disposable.

It is not hard to install. I did it myself and you don't need much more than a screwdriver. As long as you have a water main shutoff that is a ball valve, you aren't replacing any valves or opening up the plumbing so a plumber wouldn't be the right person to call if you are not inclined to do it yourself.

Do these send a notification when the Wifi Disconnects? In such event that there is an internet/power outtage?

Cannot speak for v2 but v1 battery life was terrible and couldn't hook up to any smart home system. Yolink hooks up to alexa and I believe Home Assistant as well. The battery life on yolink is excellent
I've been running V1s for years now (I've got probably about 20). Absolutely zero issues with battery life (most run well over a year/sensor and the app also reports relative amount of battery left), and all of mine are discovered in Alexa. Some I have specific Alexa routines built around as well.

Aside from all the previous recommendations on where to place these, if you have hydronic baseboard heating (aka hot water rads) be sure to put at least one under each section. For long runs, or where there may be previous repairs and/or fittings, put additional sensors for added security.

We just moved into a place with hydronic heating (first time experience). Can you clarify what you mean by a long run and where in relation to it you would put a sensor? I would assume under each rad, but not really sure. Thanks!

By that I mean just for overall coverage and playing the law of averages. One sensor in the middle of a 20' run may not pick up a leak at a far end until a lot of water has already leaked out. If you have a carpeted floor too, it'll act as a sponge further delaying a distant leak from triggering a sensor not nearby. Make sense?

Can the gateway handle sensors of multiple types (thermometers, water, etc.) together, or will you end up with multiple gateways?

I searched through the listings, and the bundles seem to come with different model gateways, but it's unclear if that means they won't work together or if they are different generations.
