I always wish they have the tall sizes. One slip up in the dryer and they look like 3/4 sleeves with my monkey arms.

Go a size up. But still cold water in washer and low heat in dryer.

Tempted by the price, but as you say, the arms won't be long enough (and too baggy in the midsection). I'm finally changing priorities to get things that actually fit, even if it's more expensive. I keep my clothes until they wear out anyhow, so might as well get something that fits right.

Any advice on clothes that won't shrink? I either have to make sure it's a relaxed fit in my size or size up. 100% cotton just shrinks anytime I wash/dry it.

I'm far from an expert... but as you pointed out, you've either got to buy "pre-shrunk" or get something with 50% or less cotton in it... or as you suggest, get a larger size.

I find that buying tall sizes tend to fit better, since they simply add length without adding width. It generally fits me after washing and shrinking (I need 36-37" sleeve length).

I air dry shirts and jeans. I only dry the undergarments. After the shirts are dry I put them in the dry with steam dewrinkle for about 5 mins. Clothes don't shrink and they last so much longer. But you have to have a dryer rack and some room. You can put them outside but make sure not in the sun. Yes, it takes longer and it's a pain but it works.

I bought one of these (M, slim fit, Blue and white plaid) when they were on sale.
Nice material, fits well, no need to iron it if you put it on a hanger right after it comes out of the dryer.
Only complaint: pointed end of collar curls upward away.
