i had an issue last week with a different order. it was never triggered but i did received the credit for it couple of days later. may be something broke at AMEX
Yeah, offers normally trigger as soon as the pending charges show up. I'm use to getting a email about it shortly after the purchase. I'd avoid using the APP to purchase with jersey mikes as I think they did not code the app's purchase properly. I assume they may have a different processing code on Amex for the app vs store/website, and they probably forgot to add it to the promotion despite including it in the T&C.

Made a $15.23 purchase at Jersey Mike's via web browser on 4/16 (6 days ago) with the $2 coupon and never got the offer applied message. I figured I'd contact chat to figure it out and they told me that the merchant I made the offer at is not signed up for that offer and that they can't do anything about it. Really hoping I get the offer in the coming week or so but can't believe chat refused to do anything about it.

I never received mine so I spoke with a AE rep and according to the rep, some Jersey Mike locations are not eligible for the rebate. I asked how can you tell which one is not and the rep did not have any further response. No more AMEX deals for me. Stick with Chase.

That's a cop-out answer. It's good for both online and in-store purchases, and I made both online and in-store to the same Jersey Mike's location. And the in-store purchase got the credit while the online one didn't.

Amex screwed up this promo and doesn't seem like they have any desire to fix it. The only option is to keep creating cases and spamming their support until someone thinks it is a big enough issue. I message them every day or two.

Contacted Amex CS and they said that I should have received the credit since the transactions were eligible and I met all the requirements of the offer. They escalated the case (provided the case numbers for reference) in order to get it manually approved / credited. Lets see if it shows up after the fact.

I just complained for 10 minutes about the offer not being coded properly and it not being the vendors issue. That the issue was on amex end entirely by not coding in the merchant code for the app which is different than the merchant code for the store/website. They eventually just credited me immediately. YMMV, a lot of effort for something that could easily be addressed by a company as large as AMEX. The fact they take month(s) to validate a offer that they screwed up has made me stop using it for offers.
