Certainly not the lowest price ever but catching these on a discount is difficult.

This is an excellent can that will survive a ton of abuse in industrial applications.

This is a good price for a metal can with a less-irritating valve. I bought one of the flexible spout Justrite cans [amazon.com] in 2019 for $65 and thought it was expensive then, but it's double that now.

Got this same can perhaps 2-3-4 years before Covid for something less than $30.00. They make fine cans, apt to last a lifetime.

Definitely *THE* gas can but they are expensive. Several years ago I "divested" (sold" all my plastic cans and got the Jerry cans from HF with 20% off (to tell you how long ago that was). The spouts suck yes, but I've since replaced them all. (wow MSRP for those is $60 now. Holy crap I remember getting them for in the $20's with the 20% off!)

My Amazon history says I bought this - Last purchased May 4, 2016 - for $28.68 (Open Box). It's been sitting outside in the sun and still holds up great (not a fan of keeping gasoline in the garage).

I'm tempted to buy another, as you're right, it's hard to find these on a discount.

Paid $28 at Zoro (shipped) in 2013. Probably a good deal 11 years later

I hate the plastic cans. I got kits of little doodads to install on all of them so they actually work.

I know the "jerry can" style has its advantages over the Eagle / Justrite style, but do you have an opinion specifically about which is best for pouring into mowers, wood chippers, etc (things that aren't cars)?

My big mower's cap is probably 4' off the ground, and after trying to hack up an Eagle funnel to fit onto the Justrite I bought for storage, I found it less messy to just pour a gallon or two from the Justrite into my No-Spill that has a crack near the top handle. The No-Spill never spilled over 8 years, but the 5-gallon size has a seam, and apparently the expansion / contraction was too much.

Is this overkill for a can only to fill a regular sized walking lawnmower and edge trimmer every 2 weeks? I was looking into a 5 gallon can since im currently using a 1 gallon plastic but hate going to the gas station to refill.

Maybe a little push mower. I fill 3.5 gallons every 5-6 weeks for my riding mower. They do make 2.5 gallon cans. Save the 1 gallon can for your blower mix.

Like so many things, these cans went up in price significantly over the last 3 years. Now this is a good price on a great gas can.

The problem with Eagle is mostly an angle one, you can remove the funnel and pour it in, but that tends to slosh around. The Jerry cans aren't great at dispensing, they're heavy when full (same can be said about Eagle). Some of that is due to the spout. The ones I got from HF included a spout that you basically rested on the fill port of the equipment and that activated a spring-loaded mechanism that allowed gas to flow. Problem is, this was hard to control when the can was heavy, and I found it to be a failure point (e.g. gas would leak out). Right now I have just plan flexi spout that's stored in the gas.

Fill once a year or so with E0 and add some stabil. I prefer not driving around with gas cans so not overkill at all
