The folding hinge on the weed whacker is used for cutting DeWalt's shipping cost. It isn't something most folks are going to fold up in the garage unless space is really limited.
The leaf blower is the real battery killer. You'll need more than 1 battery to do any normal size yard during the Fall. Don't recharge a hot battery as it will shorten its life. Wait until it cools down to start the recharge.
