They do sell a counter depth version, its just not as discounted right now.

This refrigerator was the same price last month, with the price 'expiring' for one day on 3/31, back to $2000 for 4/1, then on sale again on 4/2. I know because I bought it over the weekend trying to get the deal.

I still have concerns about the Samsung QC issues, but my wife likes the 4 door design, I like the idea of a pitcher of water I can quickly use to refill larger containers instead of slowly filling over a minute, and I hope the ice maker being in the actual freezer avoids any problems there.

i bought this model sometime last year at $1900 no issue going strong for 1 yrs & 2 months. Was going to give a second stint since my samsung ice issue with the older model back in 2000ish.

No problem so far

i bought this model sometime last year at $1900 no issue going strong for 1 yrs & 2 months. But it is even better deal at $1600. Also you get 2 years warranty with Costco and can always buying additional 3 years to make it 5 years warranty

Since you bought this model, can you tell me how long it takes for the water pitcher to fill in the door? I drink a lot of water, and I refill my coffee maker and 48 oz water bottle every morning. They also sell a model that has a 'beverage center,' nearly identical with a second water line and second door hinge, but didn't seem worth the $750 upgrade.

Samsung refrigerators are solid. Just don't buy a refrigerator with ice dispenser on the door, from any brand.

I am going to say stay away from Samsung. Have a previous model of this 4 door. Compressor or sealed system just hit the fan a couple weeks ago after less than 7 years. Samsung told me to suck an onion. 200-300 bucks to come take a look at it and then whatever cost on top of it to fix. I hear Samsung has a lot of issues with their techs or lack thereof in some areas. My icemaker or water in the fridge was never hooked up, so not caused by that. Went and bought an LG at Costco for $50 more than this deal, but came with a free mini fridge ("$400" worth). I know LG has issues as well, but at least they fix them and not give you the runaround like Samsung. I have another LG that broke after a year or so. They came and fixed it in a timely manner. Not buying Samsung appliances anymore. Wife is not happy with the Samsung stove, nor the Samsung Washer and Dryer. By the way, stay away from the ones made in Mexico. They are worse than Korea.

Wish Bosch made a 30cu.ft. fridge (or close to it) full size.

Oh it is quick, it less than 15 second to fill up the whole pitch, but it won't be as cold as the pitch was filled and in the frige for an hour or so.

It's funny ,My 4 door flex went out after 7 years of used.., the freezer evaporator went out.
no tech around my area ( Houston) so i ended up buying a LG that was on sale...waiting to be ship. I have all samsung appliances, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher and over the oven microwave,,, I bought them all in 2017, none of them had given me issues until now..

no product this day will make it last for long time like 15+yrs. they always want you to buy new. If you got 7 years of the product for $1600-$2000 that is the low end of the product and high end will be around 10+ yrs.

Samsung being changed alot since 7 years ago. Don't get me wrong i like both LG and Samsung. My parent got LG for 2 yrs and i got samsung for 1.2 yrs. So both going good as long the sale is good enough to make that purchase.

My 5YO Samsung French door refrigerator is on its last legs and there's no way I'd buy another one. I've been through five (!) icemakers and now the freezer has failed as well.

I'm not doubting anyone's claims, but I haven't seen a single fridge deal on SD that doesn't have a lot of posts of "brand x sucks." Like quite literally, every brand, at least consumer class (~$1000-$2000) fridges. Again, not doubting anyone but it seems to be either be luck of the draw, or perhaps how well the "last mile" delivery is handled, e.g. its not knocked around. The only brand I've seen have fairly consistent failures is LG.

Surely there is some consumer brand that is dependable?

Samsungs are by far the worst fridges and have like 4x more warranty issues than the next. LG's suck but only if they have the linear compressor, otherwise they are as reliable as the others.

The only real top dog is the bosch 800 with the dual compressors, but it's only 21 cu.
