BONUS1500 Promo code during account creation to be eligible. I've personally just gone through this today, and the promo was auto-applied, showing in top banner of each page as I went through the signup. They almost caught me to create a new Savings account too with a single click, but skipped that one. On the following screen it showed me my new account and routing numbers, along with the promo details, the code and terms listed yet again.
No published expiry date at this time.

Qualifying deposit will be judged by the balance in your account from days 15-105 of account opening. For example, if you had funded the account with $50 on day 2, but then transferred $99,950 on day 14, you're eligible for $1500 bonus back in your account by day 165 of account opening. Alternatively, if you added $20,001 on day 2 and left it there until withdrawing $2 on day 104, you will receive a $0 bonus.

Surprised that nobody in this thread even understands what's going on. For $20,000, 4.35% APY over 3 months is $217.50, however you're also getting a $300 bonus, so you're getting $517.50 for 3 months. That equates to10.35% APY.

This is the same for the other deposit amounts.
Doesn't look like it if you currently have one.
They clearly address that at the beginning of the footnotes at bottom of main deal page, listing multiple account types open with them "on or after January 1, 2022" as making you ineligible for this offer. I'd encourage all to RTFM for straightforward questions like these.
There are quite a few other High Yield Savings Accounts that don't have such restrictions and have higher rates of return. Here's a list I compiled this morning:

APY
Amex: 4.35
Sofi: 4.6, $300 bonus direct deposit
Synchrony: 4.75
Wealthfront: 5.00 (get .5 bonus for 3 months if you refer a friend)
Citbank: 5.05 (5k minimum deposit)
Texas capital: 5.1
Everbank: 5.15
Ufb direct: 5.25
Western alliance: 5.36

For 100k you would earn $5,360 per year at Western versus $4,350 + 1500 = $5,850 with the Capital One deal. If you have less than 100k to invest the other options are better.

During last year fall23 promo, i deposited $50K for 100 days and in total I received around $1400 in interest (including $750 bonus) after 3.5 months

that's work out to be 9.6% annualized interest

too bad I cannot enjoy this new promo again, where should I keep this money that also allows flexibility to withdraw anytime?

This is nonsense. Keep your money in there for 3 months and see what the actual interest will be after the bonus. Also, for a high yield savings, this is a good rate. CDs gives you better returns but you're locking your money in.
Yep, AFAIK but need to confirm you don't need to keep all the money in the account after 90 days while waiting for up to sixty days for the bonus payout. I opened up accounts for similar offers and the bonus pay out happened days not months after the 90 day bonus period was hit. Even if worst case (and I doubt it is the case) and you have to leave the entire amount in the account for up to five months waiting for the bonus payout it's a great deal. Pull the money after payout, close the account, and go chase higher rates.

Faulty logic, why would you leave the money in the account for a year when the bonus payout is after 90 days? Have a look at the post by Uwotmate just below yours, that is the correct way to look at this offer.

Could have sworn I heard they screwed over customers who already had a savings account with them by lowering their rates massively and never informing them that their original savings account plan was made obsolete garnering little to no interest in favor of soley new customers. Can anyone else confirm that?

I have just a couple thousand in an existing cap one 360 account opened over a year ago for a similar promotion. I transferred most of the money to better offers since time but what is left is getting the current 4.35% rate. Obviously I can't speak for anyone else's experience.

Good on you, I mean that seriously, not sarcastically. For me, time is the one thing I never seem to have enough of, and something you can't ever buy or replace in this life, so it has as much weight for me as financial gains. I guess to each their own.

That said, I agree with your overall mantra, as the old saying goes, you don't get rich spending all your money.

the federal reserve will cut the fed rate some time this year, so i'd get this deal if i had non-emergency savings of over $20K cash

Marcus just sent out an email cutting rates today from 4.5% to 4.4%.

I just opened an account on March 31st and didn't use a promo code. Is it worth calling them?

Only if you want a chance at getting the bonus offer.
They'll never potentially give you a Yes answer without you asking them first.

A couple of years ago yes. They only had one type of savings account and didn't tell customers they had a newer type that paid higher interest. The old type paid .35% while the new one was paying out 1% and there was no difference in terms, existing and new customers could get the new account type. Funny, it was actually a post on SD that alerted me and I opened the newer type account in minutes.

This seems like a pretty attractive offer, but I want to get really clear on how to pull out of the account after 90 days or after. Are there any gotchas with closing the account or taking my money out?

"Note: Offer valid for New Capital One 360 Performance Saving Account only. If you have or had an open 360 Performance Savings, 360 Savings, 360 Money Market, Savings Now or Confidence Savings account as a primary/secondary account holder with Capital One on or after January 1, 2022, you will be ineligible for this bonus offer."

I have Capital One CD accounts, but not any of those saving accounts mentioned above,so I will be eligible for this bonus offer to open a new performance saving account,am I right?
