BONUS1500 Promo code during account creation to be eligible. I've personally just gone through this today, and the promo was auto-applied, showing in top banner of each page as I went through the signup. They almost caught me to create a new Savings account too with a single click, but skipped that one. On the following screen it showed me my new account and routing numbers, along with the promo details, the code and terms listed yet again.
No published expiry date at this time.

Qualifying deposit will be judged by the balance in your account from days 15-105 of account opening. For example, if you had funded the account with $50 on day 2, but then transferred $99,950 on day 14, you're eligible for $1500 bonus back in your account by day 165 of account opening. Alternatively, if you added $20,001 on day 2 and left it there until withdrawing $2 on day 104, you will receive a $0 bonus.

Surprised that nobody in this thread even understands what's going on. For $20,000, 4.35% APY over 3 months is $217.50, however you're also getting a $300 bonus, so you're getting $517.50 for 3 months. That equates to10.35% APY.

This is the same for the other deposit amounts.
Doesn't look like it if you currently have one.
They clearly address that at the beginning of the footnotes at bottom of main deal page, listing multiple account types open with them "on or after January 1, 2022" as making you ineligible for this offer. I'd encourage all to RTFM for straightforward questions like these.
There are quite a few other High Yield Savings Accounts that don't have such restrictions and have higher rates of return. Here's a list I compiled this morning:

APY
Amex: 4.35
Sofi: 4.6, $300 bonus direct deposit
Synchrony: 4.75
Wealthfront: 5.00 (get .5 bonus for 3 months if you refer a friend)
Citbank: 5.05 (5k minimum deposit)
Texas capital: 5.1
Everbank: 5.15
Ufb direct: 5.25
Western alliance: 5.36

For 100k you would earn $5,360 per year at Western versus $4,350 + 1500 = $5,850 with the Capital One deal. If you have less than 100k to invest the other options are better.

Capitals One doesn't branch at local SoCal, All they have are ATM location. it's not easy to transfer money out after 90 days, especially when transfer money in & out for 100K

The average bonus about $500-$600 per 30day to let them hold $100K.for 60-90days

Why can't you move $100K from capital savings to your another savings account? It's easy 😊

I have at least A million $ and yes, I'm a SDer.

How do you get a million $? By saving 1$ and 2$ at a time over a long time period and investing wisely, that's how.

You know where Warren Buffet lives? He's farking loaded and still lives in the same 3 bedroom house he's had since forever.

Warren Buffett doesn't save $1 & $2 lol He lives his life well 😊

On the other hand, you seem like a miser 😁

I ran this analysis of 5.25% no bonus vs. 4.35% w/ bonus

Month 5.25%Int 4.35%Int
1 $437.50 $362.50
2 $437.50 $362.50
3 $437.50 $362.50
4 $437.50 $362.50
5 $437.50 $362.50
Bonus $0.00 $1,500.00

$2,187.50 $3,312.50

Seems like we'd come out ahead letting Capital One hold the money for 5 months.

If you like non FDIC then you should use VUSXX instead of this. You are missing out.
Fidelity keeps your cash in SPRXX by default, You earn money-market rates until you invest it in something (including a higher-returning money market fund). Which brokers other than Vanguard sell VUSXX w/o charge? It is returning good rates.

Your money isn't locked into anything other than the bonus, so yes, you can take it out whenever, but if you don't meet the terms, you don't get the bonus.

Etrade does. Works great and better rate than Fidelity. The only kicker is they require 3k for first deposit. Then you can run as little or as much as you want.

Tried to sign up, given all the personal information. It wasn't enough. They want a copy of my ID and streamed picture of my face to compare.
They can shoved $300 up theirs ..... .
I got the ID request as well, said they'd get back to me in 2 days. If they want any more, I won't bother either.

Had a CapOne account 3 years ago for similar bonus offer.

Did you move the whole 100K at once from an external account? How long is it taking for your deposit to be fully available on this account? TIA

We are trying to earn that $1500 bonus by moving 100K in Capitals One Saving. After we get the Bonus, it'll difficult to move back out since they have less branch and only electrical transfer require to move small amount out of each time.

You only need to hold the money for 3 months not 5
