Would this be too heavy to sit inside a hard wood floor and use as a computer desk?
It says it's 126lbs assembled. Overkill for office desk. desks are around 28" 29" in height this is 36" at lowest.

Bummer

Is the cabinet worth it at 50% off also?

Also does anyone know if you can add castors to this, would like to be able to move it around?

I would really like to know this as well, really the only thing holding me back from buying it.

I feel the majority in the market for something like this are looking for a heavy duty garage or shop workbench… A stool height chair or a shop chair is more likely to be used for seating over an office chair. That certainly isn't a selling point for myself, but maybe someone wants to use it as a kitchen table or something. In that case maybe the Sams Club Bench is the better option
I think the TALLER bench would be better for my DILLON Ammo Reloader Press.

Yeah thinking I'll probably wait and just get something like this when it goes on sale since I'm not in a rush - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky.../307723263

Got 2 of the 8 Foot version for $145 September of last year and they're great. Doubt that 75% off will come around again but here to attest these are sturdy.

Maybe I should wait then, that's crazy cheap. It shows you how much markup is on stuff these days.

I wouldn't buy this. I ordered it three times, twice shipped to my home, and the 3rd time I picked it up at the store. Each attempt to purchase this item resulted in it being extremely damaged upon arrival. I mean the rear edge and screws holding the wood block to the steel frame, just completely destroyed across the entire length of the edge. I gave up on the third try. Manager was supremely embarrassed.

Yeah, for real that's no joke. The top is a bit of a plasticy finish but for what you're getting can't complain. I'd have no reservations standing on this while supporting an unwieldy load. Minimal lateral rocking when pushed hard. Leveling feet are robust and come in clutch on mildly uneven cement floors.

I am surprised the one delivered to the store was damaged, usually it's home deliveries that are the issue.

How is it packed, is it in a flat box with legs disassembled?

lol, I was thinking about that …. I was the OP on that Deal …….. Inventory went from over 400 to Zero in a day 🤯

I found a few being resold online.

If anyone needs a 6' table today, grab this 220.95$ Deal, because I seriously doubt you'll catch another 8' table @ 145$ any time this year.
