They are not Carrera, I know, but thought this was a site that caters to frugal people. These cars serve us the purpose I noted above, and even if they lose 50% of the value after 3 years, which they will not at these prices, assuming 10K miles per year, it is a cheaper option than this Subaru lease.
I've had a impreza and crosstrek lease, they called me about leasing this and I looked into it but they are trash. Look at the reviews before getting one.
Lol please explain what Green New deal you are referring to? I'm aware of an infrastructure deal but nothing called a green new deal that has been even voted on in Congress.

How are they cheaper if they cost $20k now and if "they lose 50% of their value" in three years…that would be 10k vs the defined 8k.
In those 3 years, I'd imagine the maintenance that may be due on a used Leaf/Niro would be more than the Subaru.
Also, I'd imagine that selling a 6-7 year old Niro/Leaf would be difficult too.
Ioniq 5? Recharges 0to80 in 18min. And you don't arrive at 0... so less usually.

For 50%, I said, even if. I did a rough estimate how much they would need to lose to cost as the lease But they will not.I just checked CarMax. 23 Leaf S is $20K, 18 Leaf S is 14.6K. The main value loss is in the first two years, once they are older than 3 years, they become eligible for a used EV credit, which also keeps the price from dropping significantly.
Not here to argue, but thought it is an option worth checking. And since I mentioned a used EV tax credit, if a person qualifies, may help too
