Mine at 100% charge gets 175 miles of range (don't turn on the climate because that knocks it down to 160 miles), dealer says they are working on a fix. But won't look at the car.

You may want to look at the Hyundai Ioniq 6. Rated for 360 mile range on a 100% charge, and Hyundai's been doing $7,500 cashback to offset the ineligibility for federal credits. And if you're really lucky, your state won't charge sales tax—NJ didn't for mine.

I take it you've never been. But okay. You're cool.
If you think the guy with a Tesla is seeking attention yet the guy with a wrapped, straight piped, huge camber, massive spoiler, and fart can isn't, you're... special
sounds like you've been going to shows at intersections....

Costs $225+ to refill the hydrogen Toyota currently. Fuel can be hard to find. EV is pretty easy to live with. If you have a house, you can charge overnight.
The Honda/Toyota gave three years free hydrogen when I leased mine. Nice to drive but A PITA when hydrogen stations ran out of hydrogen and the supply was nil.

Man people in here complaining about evs with 150,200,300 miles range, and I'm just here in my Nissan leaf that gets 50 miles on a good day having a great time. Takes care of 95% of my trips until I need to haul something big or go out of town for a road trip.
I almost got a used Leaf as a commuter vehicle because the 50 mile range would've been perfect to get to work and back home, plus they are dirt cheap used. I could not afford the range loss that comes with cold weather, as that would've put me below the range folks see in cold weather.

is it promising though? is the only place you can fuel it in CA and haven't they closed some of the fueling stations recently? don't get me wrong, i'd love to see all competing technologies have a time to shine to truly compare, but only being able to purchase and use within CA kind of makes it difficult.
People have been driving Teslas for 10yrs
And they don't fully recharge in 15-20 minutes. So not true.

ionic 5 looks so much cooler to me , the only EV that ive ever been tempted to buy.. ! but yet to buy a New vehicle and i think im gonna try a Hybrid first and wait bit longer for EV's to become more mainstream with charging stations everywhere and improved range..!
anyone bought a ionic5 here who could elaborate a bit their experience with it ?
FWIW, the 5 is only about 4" taller, has a hatchback instead of a trunk, and a range of 303 miles vs 361 for the 6.

Cool story bro.

Got in touch with the 3 OC Subaru dealers that were linked with the 241/month lease deal from the website. Fullerton, Orange and Puente Hills, none of them have the 23 in stock, wanted to show me the 24, but passing as I don't need a new car but would had jumped on the deal for a no money down, 241/month lease.

Can anyone actually find one or is this more like bait to get you in the dealer?
This deal is definitely bait to get you to the dealership. All manufacturers show you a great deal and then the dealership tells you to bend over

Nj is a quagmire at this point.
No sales tax(for now), but…. We are going to start adding a road tax of a few hundred dollars when you register an ev and you are going to have to pay four years registration upfront even on a three year lease because you don't pay road tax on gasoline when you drive an ev.
Yes, I know the law just passed and is not in effect yet, but talk about mixed messages.
Valid points and worth considering, but a) I think the state is trying to drive EV purchases by providing disincentives later and b) The road tax, if indeed that revenue goes to maintianing roads, sounds legitimate. If an EV will produce as much wear and tear on roadways, owners should have to contribute. Think of it as a disincentive geared towards getting people to use bikes or public transportation. Besides, we've got all kinds of incentives from electricity providers. Mine pays for labor on installation of a home charger, costs associated with adding extra capacity on their end, and offering a 10¢/kWh discount of off-peak electricity. The last one will cut the cost of charging my car by 40%. These are not incentives that Pennsylvania electricity companies are offering at all.

This is the way. I test drove an Ioniq 6 and it was very nice. I am a car snob (German cars) and never would have imagined I'd buy a Hyundai, but this one might be in my garage soon.
I'm only 3 months in, but I love it. So nice seeing gas stations and thinking how the only reason for me to stop would be to pick up an overpriced snack. My only real complaint so far is that the scarcity of physical buttons is a terrible design decision. It doesn't help that the touchscreen is just out of reach, meaning I have to lean forward every time I want to change an app or select music.

This car would be fine as a second or third vehicle as a city/suburban runabout. It has slow charging and sub 200 mile real world range, which would make it a headache for any serious interstate travel, but it would have no issue scooting around town and getting groceries.

That would be especially good if you don't need it daily — you could use slower level 1 charging in your garage (ie the regular home outlet plug). No need to get an appliance (level 2) plug installed.

For $241/m, it's an interesting impulse buy. Just wish the Lexus version would have a fire sale too
I got a deal from Nissan on a leaf for $99 a month for 24 months lease. There a lot of EV stock not moving so they are trying to get them more on the roads. As a local commuter vehicle it's perfect

Is it possible same price but faster charging? From 10 to 80% = 1h it's too much
