The screen is probably "meh", but a 140w 4070 for this price point is insane. This would be a killer deal on a desktop without a monitor included, so with that in mind, this seems absolutely slick as frick.

Also, the product page says the battery life is 16 hours.
Second, specs don't always matter. As LavenderWalrus2248 rightly pointed out, the "coveted" 4070 moniker is all clever marketing, because the 4070 should at best be called 4060ti, if even that. Looks good on your order detail page, but doesn't translate to real world performance, as can be seen from numerous benchmarks where it often loses to the 3070 (not even 3070ti).
My first reaction to LavenderWalrus2248's comment was it's a cope, but I have to admit it is accurate.

I never knew the 4070 was many times worse than 3070ti...maybe with more mature development of Graphic drivers over the years and more games in the future taking advantage of the 4070 things may get better. https://www.reddit.com/r/hardware...is_a
Now a third party seller is selling it for $1470 so a savings of $630.
Congrats to anyone who got a hold of this deal & try it out at least.....(and you could always return it if not happy).
But it's critical to know the wattage or heat throttling that a particular laptop will apply. For this deal, the laptop has good cooling so it can run the GPU at the full 140 watts and keep it cool.
Look at the first screenshot in your video - the 4070 as tested was rated at 35W-115W. I wonder if that affected the performance, and how much better would the 4070 have performed if allowed to run at 140 W max instead of 115 W max?

The lowest priced 4070 laptops I've seen to date were an Asus Tuft in BF $980, and Asus rog open box $1180, refurb Lenovo legion slim 7 $1180, Acer Nitro $1100, Acer Predator triton 14" $1200, & HP omen for $1280.

This deal was posted an hour earlier on twitter. I just passed it up because it is true. 53whr is horrible and why would you buy spend $830 on a laptop with a bad display.
Also Adata has horrible customer service so you better hope this thing doesn't need an RMA. Makes no sense to skimp on $100 for a $830 purchase for 10% gpu gain at the expense of a bad display and battery life.
The real cope is calling this a desktop replacement you could easily build a better performing desktop for $830.

I don't think so.
