it's that the ethernet connection from the monitor will pass through usb-c to the laptop, so it gives the laptop a hard wired internet connection when plugged into the monitor

Ips, Ethernet, 90w usb c; this hits all points for productivity! Gaming will suffer due to 60Hz (you really want >= 120hz) but otherwise solid monitor for a new price

It also has built-in speakers. Plus 3yrs warranty. Excellent deal.

Anyone know what speed the Ethernet port is?
Can't find it anywhere. With rest of the spec and targeting business customers, I have to assume it's 1G.

That dell is ridiculously priced. Not even 2160P, which I'm kind of holding out for.
Is anything at this size and wide 3840 x 2160p??? Wouldn't that be some bizarre aspect ratio?

oh how i wish this wouldn't have the "bundle of snakes" exiting the bottom edge of the monitor if i actually use the hub functionality.

edit: i don't know where i would like the cables to exit, but it seems that right out the bottom will be the messiest.

I guess you missed the part about the ratio changing the resolution for 1440P. If it stayed the same, then it'd be 2560x1440 for ultrawides. Which it isn't.

Ok so what are we talking here? 5k? I'm just asking if 2160p monitors at this size and aspect ratio exist ? Hard to keep up so many manufacturers do new weird sizes and specs every so often. Haven't kept up in years

They're often referred to as WUHD (Wide Ultra High Definition) and commonly have a resolution of 5120 x 2160 (5k width, 4k height). Dell and LG make at least one, but the price is so high I haven't been able to figure out why I wouldn't just get a regular 5k monitor and benefit from the extra height.

i'm having a hard time leaving my dual displays - but this might be it to try.

does anyone use a second flat monitor with one curved one? or does that not make much sense?

In my opinion one slab of glass is ideal for work. Two monitors which I had for years is really not very productive. The only sense I see in a to monitor setup is if the second monitor is showing video or is static on a page for some reference of need. Not dragging a ouse from one montiro to another. Being able to focus at least on one screen I think is better.

Where I office at I have 3 separate flat monitors-- I prefer the way the window docking behaves on separate monitors. All the users I support have 34" curved. I set one user up with an additional portrait 24" because they read a lot of PDFs. FWIW

Yeah:

The 34" LG is not curved, though.

According to this support article, you can split screen with separate inputs. Not sure about on the same input: https://www.lg.com/us/support/hel...3401120215
Would this allow 2 picture by picture sources without installing any software on the PC laptop itself?
