it's that the ethernet connection from the monitor will pass through usb-c to the laptop, so it gives the laptop a hard wired internet connection when plugged into the monitor

Ips, Ethernet, 90w usb c; this hits all points for productivity! Gaming will suffer due to 60Hz (you really want >= 120hz) but otherwise solid monitor for a new price

It also has built-in speakers. Plus 3yrs warranty. Excellent deal.

Thanks OP. This ticks all the boxes for me for a productivity screen. Does it have PIP support?

Mentioned earlier in comments, it has dual control and PBP which supports the definition of PIP two inputs same screen.

How does this monitor compare to the S50GC for the same price? Seems the S50GC has a better refresh rate and AMD FreeSync while the LG has the integrated dock and speakers. Just curious which is better.

Limited-time deal: SAMSUNG 34" ViewFinity S50GC Series Ultra-WQHD Monitor, 100Hz, 5ms, HDR10, AMD FreeSync, Eye Care, Borderless Design, PIP, PBP, LS34C502GANXZA, 2023, Black https://a.co/d/bIau0Fc

Is this good for multi-system setups (notebook for work & desktop for personal)?

Or should I look for a monitor that has built-in KVM?

I think the LG is better for it being an IPS panel alone. The Acer is VA.

LG has more USB ports and RJ45, kind of a real hub. Samsung one is mostly display focused, probably better display, maybe.

Oh, 60hz.... I need a bigger monitor but, no way at 60hz....

Not a good deal in my eyes, a $450+ monitor would support higher than 60hz....

Does only a 60hz refresh rate matter if I won't be gaming on it? Not being sarcastic. Genuinely curious.

Exactly! So many people get caught up in refresh rate and this is obviously not targeted at gamers, but rather productivity, home office/business with the built-in docking station capability. I bought one for my wife to use since she is going to grad school and often wants a second screen to use.
