I downloaded all 3 but nothing happened! Wasted time makes cranky, need to learn another UI but can't schedule it because I can't break my habit of saying feck off to all these data miners.
Keep it local? Sure, then I need to repeat across all my devices. Until true laws and enforcing happens, all this crap is legalized intrusions. Bad enough "trusting" trillion dollar corporations, dont believe for a second app stores do anything more than ticking boxes and turn a blind eye. Everything you've done online is out there folks --- commoncrawl.org! Now you know
A daily planner? I rather use Google apps, hopefully they learned from past mistakes and it seems the government pays more attention to them https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/01/te...index.html. Hard to tell what third party apps do with the data and Google probably has access to it if in Android anyway. Right?
Got this when I clicked on your link:

Just because it's free, doesn't deserve 100+ up votes! What's wrong with everyone. This is a POS data grab and guarantee 99% will give it permission, never used it after a day and forget about it
Don't think it's a data grab. Moreso developer wants customers to get more downloads and reviews so that it gets bubbled to the top of search.
I believe the code will only give lifetime for this specific version of installed app and can be revoked with different release version. As long as you keep same release number, it will be perpetual, but if you upgrade you can lose it if the developers decides to do so
These apps are literally the "notes" section on any device that is free, fancies up a tiny bit. "Lifetime subscription" LOL WHAT are they asking for subscription fees and then releasing free lifetime subscriptions to make it seem more valuable than it really is?
I really gotta pay someone on fiver to make me an app and incentivize referrals and create a bologna monthly subscription. are all apps rinse and repeat nowadays?
Just throwing it out there - apps like these expect you to not read the fine print and what you log as your journal or moods or activities are gathered as data on you, typically "shared with third party affiliates" and then you'll start seeing ads for things you've written about.
I mean… wouldn't you want ads targeted towards your specific interests vs getting random ones?

This. I'm biased as I run digital ads but opting out of personalized ads makes zero sense. You want makeup ads as a dude who doesn't wear makeup? OK then
