Second this. I switched to Ridgid 10 years ago for the warranty. A few years ago I was renovating our business and was trying to kill by old Ridgid brushed cordless drill by drilling multiple 2" holes through top plates. It kept over heating and shutting off and I would start again. Could not kill it. I was looking for an excuse to get a new brushless set but it would not die. Batteries are still good from the old set too. Have never had an issue or had to warranty any of the tool or batteries.

Well I have my starting point in ridgid now. Only tool I really want is their 1/2" right angle impact

All my tools are Milwaukee ! Due to the s warranty of Milwaukee I went ahead and brought this and a chainsaw since it comes with lifetime warranty!

Bought the 5 tool kit when I saw it posted on here back in 2020. I've had zero issues with any of them and it's hard to beat a lifetime warranty, even on batteries. Picked up the 1/2 in mid impact and 3/8 angle last year. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with rigid

Not a bad deal, 10/ah plus a charger and bag. Just remember it's a lifetime service agreement, not warranty. I haven't had to use it but they should repair or replace things that have broken if it is something wrong. However, they do reserve the right to deny service. Most of the feedback on it is positive though.
If you do have the money, I'd think the 4 pack of 6ah high output batteries is the way to go as they are about the same size if I recall correctly and will last longer and give more power to high draw tools.

How do you like the 3/8 right angle impact ergonomics? I am holding off for the 1/2" for 129 now that i have bought the High torque wrench and a hammer drill. But, the 129 keeps saying out of stock and they want 199 i think its a little expensive for that.

i mean that is just semantics cause not like they wont weasel there way out of a warranty also they will say it was your fault for damage or water damage or something they will pull out of their rears.

It's legal speak to get around laws since some places have pretty strict rules regarding the word warranty. But in most cases I'll agree with you, companies will try to find something that they can claim it's not a warranty. Ridgid does make good tools regardless, just disappointing that they can only be bought with the lifetime service at Home Depot and Direct Factory Tools.

If you register your battery you are good. For instance, if it doesn't hold charge anymore. You call, relay that it's not up to par, they send you a new one. Never had an issue before, I've had 4 replaced over last 3-4 years
