Self adhesive hooks? Are these for people who don't know how to use a drill?

LivelySink338Self adhesive hooks? Are these for people who don't know how to use a drill? These work great in RVs and campers.
There are plenty of applications where drilling doesn't make sense or is difficult.

For example, these are great for the interiors of RVs and campers, which aren't exactly known for their build quality or consistency in construction.

These are great for absolutely nothing, I have tried different command products and all just fall off over a short time. Tried them for lightweight things, heavyweight things all sorts of things all just fall off randomly in under a month! The only place they ever did work was as a headphone hook on the side of my desk and there when I removed the hook the paper finish cover pulled off of the desk. Even in an apartment it isnt hard to get a can of matching paint and some spackle when you move out. Unless you are changing apartments every month but if that is the case no point in hanging up anything anyways.

Command strips are good for about 3 months and then hope you have a reminder set or whatever you had hanging wasn't expensive. I put 2 on a picture and they fell in 3 months. I put it up to 4 strips, 3 months. Screw it, 8 strips and that thing was almost impossible to take down by hand. 3 months later, it falls on it's own. They don't last worth a crap.

I've had these very hooks on my bathroom door for at least 3 years now. I've put wet towels, bathing suits, several robes and pajama sets on them. Way over 4 lbs. at any given time, and they've been great for me.

I have had zero issues with command hooks and have used them in an RV for coats, a foyer wall for coats and on a shower wall. Not sure if people don't understand what type of surface to avoid or not but I would recommend these if you are interested.

You're probably not following the directions. It's all about prepping the surface properly and waiting the allotted time before hanging anything.

That could be it. Your walls may have been repainted without a primer in between layers.
