The locking mechanism of these bowls is iffy. It is spring-loaded, and if the spring is dislodged, they are unusable. We returned ours to Costco as the bowl costs $50+
We use ours for making dough, grating or slicing veggies, mixing oatmeal pancakes. It gets used more than our blender or hand mixer.

I think this is the lowest price on a new Cuisinart 11 cup food processor I have ever seen. Bought the $50 9 cup KitchenAid unit from the recent Best Buy sale. That one has a 250W motor and works pretty well for things like nut butter and hummus. Couldn't resist picking up this 550w 11 cup Cuisinart at this price for slightly larger batches or when more power is needed. This is not their heaviest duty model, but can't complain at this price. The next level above this would be the Costco 13 cup unit on sale for $120. Couldn't justify spending another $53 on that one though.
I also have a KitchenAid stand mixer and multiple blenders, but when it comes to making hummus or nut butters, nothing comes close to my KitchenAid food processor. Hoping that this Cuisinart fp works as well for those purposes as I never use food processors for chopping veggies etc. Easier to just use a knife and a cutting board for that.

Good deal but this is a kitchen appliance that would collect dust for most people. Seriously though, how often do people need it or use a food processor? I rest my case.
