Oh boy, someone better tell my Legion it shouldn't be allowing me to completely customize the fan curves in Vantage..

Nits seems to be the new "No HDMI" for laptops….

This seems like a pretty good deal on a 4070 with high build quality.

Beware that you can't lower the fan curves on Lenovo laptops. If you like to prevent your laptop from sounding like a jet engine and don't want to gimp your expensive hardware with a modified power profile (Silent mode, etc.), Lenovo doesn't make it possible.

I can't keep up on Lenovo Vantage software - I've used several Lenovos over the last two years, and they all had different options for cooling and performance.

Hard to beat G-Helper for Asus right now - just a clean, useful option that lets us remove a bunch of unnecessary crap and still fine-tune performance as we desire.

You should probably be noting that G-Helper is not an official product made by Asus. That's like comparing Armory Crate to MSI Afterburner. It also has nothing to do with the unnecessary crap that comes on your laptop, you can remove those things with or without running G-Helper.

Hard to beat Lenovo build quality and not needing to tinker with every fine detail in order for my laptop to be able to run cool and quiet.

legion has an equivalent to ghelper, it's called legion toolkit I think.

For the same price, you can get the Legion Slim 7 on lenovo site. You will be downgrading 4070 to 4060 and AMD->Intel CPU, but you will get better build quality and screen.

4070 mobile isn't great according to reviews. Almost no performance increase in comparison with 4060. There is Dell G15 5535 with 4060 going for $850... much cheaper for similar performance
ps now it's $909. but there is 10% off email for new customers and $120 amex credit for some customers.

I wouldn't buy a laptop specially for the 4070, unless its other specs (screen, RAM, build, etc) are significantly better than a cheaper 4060 laptop.

I'm curious if we'll see a RTX 40 Super series in the next year.
