Any idea if same day shipping is more like Walmart or like Amazon?
As in... Amazon has its own driver's and Walmart uses other companies sometimes and you are expected to tip.

I think they are still just using Shipt at Target, but changing the name. It sounds like you have to purchase a minimum of $35 of items, and pay the $99 a year to get the same day shipping. I believe they either have an employee or a random person hired specifically for the job, to bring the stuff from the closest store to you, to your house. I am not sure what the tipping situation is really like, but the Target website makes it sound like you don't have to tip, but you do have to order at least $35 worth of stuff, to qualify.
And there were probably a dozen meetings about this…focus groups, etc too.

Target owns Shipt
Good to know, thanks
Also worthy noting: I think this change will possibly end being able to get a price match + an added discount of a Circle offer. This scenario was already against policy, but still worked because it required an employee (in-store or chat) to enforce the rule by denying a price match first.
I have to wonder if one of the primary reasons for the program's change to auto-apply Circle offers is to prevent better-than-intended deals.
Only new "customers" get the welcome offers, and everybody gets price hikes branded as inflationary or anti theft related
