It comes down to our daily habits, like having ice cream instead of a smoothie, watching a movie instead of gym, etc. It's just doing the easy things, staying in our comfort zone.
I share this as a fellow fat person - we all know what we need to do, but we choose not to. Perhaps the discomfort of fat shaming is a net positive if it motivates us to change? The health consequences of obesity are dire.
