I bought this last year. it's a weird dishwasher, my 10yr old one was better.
Seems made for plates, bowls don't fit right.
And the washer is finicky, you have to be careful to not block certain areas.
Doesn't clean as well as my old one either which is crazy. But it is quiet, can't tell its running unless right next to it.
Regret my purchase.
Inflation sucks, I bought a 800 series for $599 pre-pandemic
Seems hard to believe a ten year old model is better than this very highly rated model. I have this dishwasher and it's excellent.

You can sell it for profit.
When I lost my home, I sold mine for much more than what I paid after ideling for more than 10 years. I don't use d/w but had to replace ugly old one that came with house.
I believe mine was a real Bosch made in Germany bought from upscale appliance store.
Can't go wrong with Bosch.

Yeah this does not clean as well as my old whirlpool clunker.

Agreed. Not the friendliest to bowls.
Had to remove top utensil rack as tall cups do not fit. Lowered cup rack to accommodate, but plate clearance was too low.
Previous dish washer had more room for pots and pans. Looked great in person, but Regret purchase.
These Bosch dishwashers are highly touted and get stellar reviews. We bought an 800 series when redoing the kitchen in 2019 and so far, I'm unimpressed. I wanted to believe the reviews so badly but it just doesn't live up to them, unfortunately.
Bosch has a good reputation and commands a premium. Though Yale Appliances will tell you, LG has less service calls for dishwashers in the first year after sale through their stores. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=veqXg2unQp0
Tried to buy instore last night but the sales associate could not order it for delivery. called the online desk and they will NOT match in store price. the online delivery fee is showing $29 whereas the fee last night that was quoted was $79. Can't believe they won't match their own in store price. What a hassle. If I didn't have a broken dishwasher that needs to be replaced, I wouldn't bother with this nonsense. OTOH, what timing on finding a good deal on a Bosch 500 series!
I will never buy an LG dishwasher again. Per the agreement I made with LG when they did not replace the racks I will tell my story. LG is the only dishwasher I have ever owned that the racks rusted. They started rusting right after the 1st year. LG said there is nothing they could do except I could buy racks for $300-350 every 1.5 years or deal with the rust.
Instead of buying racks every year and a half I for 300 I am buying a different dishwasher most likely a Bosch.
the LG cleans great but the rusting racks (a known problem) make it too expensive to own.
I love the older Bosch. They were built and engineered better than competitors.
However, as most things, they may no longer worth the premium. A lot of bad reviews on HD. Unfortunately, many of them are 3 stars so overall rating looks OK.
Here is what I noticed and remember reviews complained about:
- Poor drying (uses some new technology that just puts very hot water in at last rinse to add drying heat rather than conventional method.
- Musty smell complaints (prob due to poor drying)
- After cycle is over, the door pops open a little to allow further drying (prob due to poor drying, so allowing air circ)
- Condensation on exterior
- Not cleaning as well as the one it replaced
- Awkward shelving (this model has a 3rd drawer that seems cool, but people said not really
- Timed cycles need the app to run (I know this is popular, but an app really not needed on a DW, IMHO)
- A lot of complaints that it doesn't last long, hard/expensive to fix, limited number of certified repair shops
(I can say that the older ones were hard to repair, but didn't seem to require it often)
- SS seems to be a cheap grade and retains fingerprints / streaks
- Needs hardwired electrical connection (not a big deal, but should be aware)
As a positive, most people said very quiet, low energy usage, and low water usage.
Some of the problems are probably due to govt mandates for energy and water usage, but the fact is that these problems exist regardless of why.
The pricing has gone up too, but that isn't a Bosch issue, it's really a government issue of printing more money.

This is exactly my experience.
I had high expectations based on reviews, but the interior space is odd, and I could never get my dishes to completely dry. The only advice I could get was that I was either stacking dishes wrong or not using a specific formula of detergents. Completely felt like "they don't make them like they used to".
I was able to return mine within the return period and I spent a hundred more on KitchenAid. Day and night difference.

I love Bosch for how much it fits. I have had minimal problems with things not coming out clean, occasional spoon or so.
You do have to use rinse aid and pods for best results.
I get all mine used - got this one for 150.
