There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. So cut that stuff out, please and thank you.
FYI just because it says "New" doesn't mean it qualifies for the 7500 tax credit. Demo models are new but do not qualify for 7500. If the specific inventory item qualifies it will directly say it on the site.

Wow. I waited 15 months for my order at $55,900 in 2022. My friend did worse, paying $67,900 at the peak of the market. And I didn't even get the tax credit because Tesla sold too many. How can they afford to sell these at $46k? It's pretty infuriating for current owners cause it sinks our resale values.
Love the car but hate the price drops after the fact.
So I bought at 52,990. But yes it is shitty experience, but Elon is super pro consumer. No other manufacture dare drop their MSRPs. This is single handedly destroying the car market. No one wants other vehicles, if a Tesla is cheaper by the day and it fits their lifestyle.
In 2022 someone tried to sell me a 2020 MY LR for $46k, I said no this is a $40k new car. A year later I was proven right.
All cars are cheaper than what people bought and sold them for. Its just that Tesla is pro consumer and actually drops prices. Other manufacturers don't do that, but there is sure gonna be a bloodbath in the private market when people go to list their Teslas, as they have to compete with current MSRP and other motivated sellers knocking off dollars looking for a sale. I expect these to go for mid 20s.
Former tuner, love jdm and turbo, that is now a Tesla owner. Teslas are shitty cars but awesome vehicles.
I always tell people that because I consider a car being what everyone is used to. Tesla drops the ball here with their overall quality for being priced, and somewhat compared, to similar luxury cars.
As a vehicle, Teslas are freaking awesome. The tech is amazing!!! I love the app, acceleration and overall abilities it possesses. Nothing beats it as a daily driver if it fits your needs.
I have luxury suvs that require premium fuel and drive within the city. Was in need of a new suv and everything that was considered was too pricey new or used. Car market is still not what it used to be and won't be for a while.
You can't beat a Tesla with the instant tax credit and the inventory discount. Bought in January for almost $16k off, $8.2k inventory discount and $7.5k tax credit. New model y long range, 7 seater, blue paint, white interior and tow hitch. $39k before fees and huge down payment with possibly paying it off in a couple years.
I figure that by the time I may need any repairs, Tesla would have improved manufacturing for parts. I work on my vehicles so I'll be fine for most stuff. DIY and independent shops should also be more of an option in about 5yrs for more major repairs. My battery can crap out on me after warranty, 8yr/120k mi, goes out idc. I'll either be on top or break even with the discount I got.
Taking everything into account, it was the smarter buy. I also have public chargers nearby and haven't paid for electricity since I bought it. lol. Even then, it's like $8 for 20-80%
Down 36% last 6 months with no new vehicles in sight (don't even with the cyber "truck" lol), an aging model 3 (this is a 7 year old car at this point), dwindling market share due to competitors, still no self driving and a whack job CEO who has to continue dumping shares to pay for his twitter mistake. It's not looking good.

A model Y long range from inventory starts at $37,490 after $7500 point of sale tax credit. It was $36,090 two months ago yet there were no articles written about it. Why do I see so many now when the price is actually higher?
If you had shared that here, you would have gotten the same responses and likes two months ago lol
I was lucky to get an inventory MY long range for 45440 back in September last year. It was produced two weeks earlier with less than 20 miles. -500 referral bonus -7500 tax credit -2500 Texas incentive, the total 45440-500-7500-2500=34940 plus charge cable, delivery charge, tax and doc fee.
What are the $2500 texas incentives you spoke about?

Oh dang I never knew that lol, I agree about the cybertruck even though I dont hate it they hyped it up too much back in 2020 and by the time it was out people had other options to choose from, and I hate how we see like no new models from them the same old models every year also a lot of people might like the interiors of teslas but why does the interior never change for the more expensive models and he got real greedy with the whole twitter thing for making the check mark a subscribtion, I hope it bankrupts tbh
I had an argument with someone here who claimed sitting in a walmart parking lot for 1 hour at 12AM once in a while driving long is good thing because it helps being active and blood circulation in the legs.. and an EV forces it..
So please don't listen to people who are fanboys. They will go to any exten to justify their poor purchase..
Love Tesla tech by the way
