- $300,000 for married couples filing jointly
- $225,000 for heads of households
- $150,000 for all other filers
- The tax credit is not refundable, which means one must have federal tax due to take advantage of it. If the tax due is less than the credit amount, one can only claim the credit up to the amount of the tax due.

There's a pattern with Tesla threads here. I don't care if you all wanna discuss the deal or the cars but it always turns into paaaages and paaaages of bickering back and forth and nobody ,except for the few involved, enjoy that or wanna wade through that. Geely is bringing the EX30 from China- but the cheapest AWD version will be $44,900 MSRP, and no tax credit on purchases... for much inferior specs to the cheapest inventory AWD Modely Y which is $37,490 after tax credit.
The cheapest RWD EX30 will be $34.950 no tax credit, while the cheapest inventory RWD Model Y is $32,990 with the tax credit.
There might be something worth looking at with the RWD EX30 on a lease IF they pass through the credit there, and you're ok with a significantly smaller car with much less cargo space and a much inferior ADAS system I guess?

They don't have the ability to scale up to be a major player so they're trying to stay at the very high end of the market by citing Porsche as their "real" competition so they won't be offering affordable stuff that competes with things like the Model Y.

EV's are short range limited use vehicles nothing more
Weird claim given how easily so many have driven cross country in Teslas.... Most folks road tripping aren't doing more than 400-500 miles a day, which is easily doable with a single ~15-20 minute stop, same as you'd do in a gas car to refuel, get drinks, use the restroom. A second such stop gets you 600-700 miles in a single day.
Bolts? Sure- L3 charging is a garbage slow nightmare.
