Another steal from the guys over at mygiftshop. I feel like I'm always repeating myself but I scour their website daily. Damn guys got me addicted after the Timex Q deals.
Things to note:
Movement based off ETA 2824
80 hour power reserve!! with power reserve complication
42MM case (too big for my baby wrists)
Can't find lug to lug, but based on other 42mm Jazzmasters, 49mm, so should fit most
22mm lug width, 20mm clasp
12.64mm thick
I bet the stock leather strap sucks but that's an easy swap
Can't tell if it's a sunburst dial or not
Good brand name/history
YT video of watch I found
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JWzcdW4c4Q
sweep is kinda chunky, but hey 75 hours PR
Cheapest on eBay $795
Cheapest off of google, $690 (Amazon shows 640 but link doesn't show that price)
$416 with code HD249 , comes out to $422 shipped for me
Freaking steal if you're into it imo
Time to grab my popcorn and read the SD comments.

Recently started getting into automatic watches. What are your top fav recommends off the top of your head for YT, podcasts, websites, etc?
Given my budget, I'm especially interested in sub $200 watches (especially when on a great sale like bringing a $400 watch to $200, etc).
I prefer the field/pilot watch general style sensibilities with non-metal straps/bands, which better match my personality and phase+station in life. Like this watch (but on the fancy side of that, but still really cool). TIA 🙂
(I really marvel at that 80 hour reserve on it's own, but then you add the reserve indicator and ‼️ OMG‼️ 🤎)
https://www.ashford.com/hamilton-h32635122.html for anyone interested in that one

If you're into sub $200 watches and just like fun watches, I'd recommend justonemorewatch. He got me into a bunch of the cheapie AliExpress watches and some of things punch way about their price range. I have some cool ones I picked up for $50 that I love. Yes the fancier watches have their place, but so does the a168 and same with the cheapie AliExpress joints.
Did you grab the timex mechanical field watch that popped up here several weeks ago? It was a decent buy. I've been wearing it randomly but it could be honeymoon period. The new seiko field looks good too. I think you can find them for a little over 200 when the sales hit

Thanks for the great reply!
YT is the drug of choice for me too so far, but it's no surprise because that nets about 95% of my total video watch time because it's awesome. I don't even care about TV (the ones not on YT already). Paying for YT Premium is the move, so much value there.
Thanks for the jomw recommendation... I already have that one subbed, but I've found and subbed to so many channels that now that I now have to sample them all over time to find my favorites. I'll pay special attention to that channel.
Thanks for the AE notes. I have ordered one from there, a Pagani, but it hasn't arrived yet. What you say about the spectrum and all watches having their place, that makes sense.
No, I've started just very cautiously, because honestly, I love my Galaxy Watch 5 Pro so much for its functionality, that I can't see me wanting to be without that on my wrist for many whole days. So I'm really considering the least weirdo way to double-watch-it. Not sure I have the guts to do it w/o a long sleeve shirt on, but at least in that case, so much of fall/winter/spring season at least.
For this reason, I've held off on the ~$200 Timex/other field-watch samples recently. I also have an eye on a Timex Marlin if price opportunity presents at some point.
Anyway, thanks again for your great reply! And best wishes to you and your watch hobby.
The more and more you learn about them, watches just become more and more interesting/fascinating, especially (for me at least), the mechanical ones.

You should check out Just One More Watch on YouTube. I enjoy his content on reviews and deals.
... another recommend for that channel, thanks!
